    Subject: Tell EPA: Take away BP's billions in federal contracts

    I am posting what someone sent to me. I am so disgusted by this crisis of ecosystems and coastline that I could barf. See below and please take action! PLEASE!

    Dear Friend,

    It's time to stop playing BP's games and make the company take responsibility for the pattern of reckless behavior that led to the growing Deepwater Horizon disaster in the gulf.

    The Environmental Protection Agency has the authority to bar BP from receiving U.S. government contracts. Suspension of BP contracts would mean the loss of billions of dollars and effectively stop the company from drilling in federally controlled oil fields both on and offshore.

    I just signed the petition to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson asking her to impose "discretionary debarment" and strip BP of all federal contracts. You can take action too by clicking on the link below.

            I used to listen to Jim Cramer - and he said 3 years ago not to invest in BP, because they weren't up to regs on ANY of their pipelines. Sickens me. So somebody knew something back then.

              Interesting SK. I knew you would be in the loop! I did read they have had major violations and had to pay big fines but I doubt that is unusual.

                      I agree this is a terrible mess and tragedy. But I would recommend everyone check all the facts before they jump on the government's bandwagon. Just my .02.

                        I am soooo in... this whole situation is absolutely soul destroying. In February this year we participated in "Hands Across the Sand" - protesting offshore drilling in Florida - apparently another Hands Across the Sand is being planned for June. (Not that it does a bleeding bit of good....) :upset:

I dont !!!! these people would not destroy our enviroment if the thirst for gas was not there protest all you want until we seriously stop our addiction to oil we can stop oil drilling dealers wrecking the environment .. there are alternatives....
