I just have to add. This whole thing is soooooooooooo sad. I feel so sorry for the marine life there. It's a crime. It just is. Imagine all of the poor animals and marine life. My heart goes out to both the residents of that area and I just feel so bad for the life lost!

President to visit Gulf Coast

WASHINGTON - On Monday, June 14, and Tuesday, June 15, President Barack Obama will make his fourth trip to the Gulf Coast to assess the ongoing efforts to counter the BP oil spill.

During the course of the trip, the president plans to visit Gulfport, Mississippi, Theodore, Alabama, and Pensacola, Florida, to survey the response efforts, visit with gulf residents impacted by the spill, and meet with area officials.

The president will make a statement to press in Theodore, Alabama, and hold an event with military personnel in Pensacola.

...then Barack, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid will go into damage control mode. They will try and convince the American public that it IS still safe to swim and use the beaches along the gulf coast. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs will tell the press that the oil is no different than using copious amounts of Hawaiian Tropic!

yes - because the oil rig is American. Built by an American company and maintained by it. So are all the pipes including the faulty pipe that is gushing oil into the gulf by the gallon. BP 'rent' it in effect, buying the oil and selling it.

The American's hands are totally up in innocence now though and all the blame is on BP. Which is why obama is stalling for time.

Not that i'm a BP supporter, nor a BP worker :H but it's terrifying how much power this company has over the world's finances and how well the Americans are trying to look out of it.

You know, I think this whole thing is terrible, beyond comprehension really. But, to try and imagine what is in President Obamas mind and blaming our president for this disaster is not constructive, realistic nor helpful.

What we can do is to really think about our own personal oil consumption. We need to seriously consider if we might feed into the issue of over consumption of oil.

Mrs, I know you see things one way there, and no offence, but what we're seeing here, in the South USA, is NOT a great leader. I wish every day he would find his balance, and be the great leader we need in this role. My thoughts and prayers are for the Gulf, the marshland, the wildlife and the people who depend on it for their livilihood every day. This is a catastrophe of epic and far reaching proportions.
