And of course here I am. Late as usual.
Been driving around flaunting my missing wheel trim. Thanks for the sock/shirt chuckage.
I have done absolutely nothing domestic today, and worked out extra hard to get rid of any residual anger. It worked.
Nearly passed out though when teen1 got up to go and meet his girl for BREAKFAST. First appearance in the hols before midday.
Just finished my book - Wolf Hall, need a suggestion for another one.

Glad you got rid of some anger! Was playing a few Wii games last night with a member of the species Crumpi, at her suggestion, and there was a boxing one on it. Hopeless. I was told it was quite physical. Suppose for some, though a home run on the baseball game did seem to depend on how hard you swing your arms. You can play it on yer own, and no need to join a team, and learn responibility for yer actions, and all that old fogey stuff. It's great.
Have a biography of Willie Yeat's here, which i've been sketching through for oh, i dunno, 5 years now?.......

Oh Gawd,
sometimes i wish i wasa man... and then i think... hay could i be that shallow? Crumpi indeed.
Hmmmmm... Bridge, i did cardio boxing once and it was brilliant! Girls can hit really hard and i realised how angry the other girls were.. it made me feel better that i was not that angry myself. Someone half my size nearly killed my hands even with the giant catcher mits on and i just thought... her boyfriend really better watch his'self!!

Had Wonderful weekend with kiddos away.. big city, busses, ferries, trains, gelato, art galleries, aquariums, chinatown, dumplings.. jewels... shoppin... ahhhhhhhhhhhhh and we laughed non stop for 3 days! Dawg I love my kids.
Note to self: more holidays, more fun.

I was wondering how you were going late last night Fick's, and your weekend sounds trif. I am really glad you had such a weekend away with your kid's, and yep, more fun indeed! And why not. Gratitude thinking, not deprivation thinking as if we are missing out on getting trashed and numb, instead of being in the 'now' the present, and enjoying the important people around us, and the real us. Bravo friend!
Being shallow is not for everyone. I'll have you know it takes years of cultivation, and for me to somehow still have good female friend's, is a master stroke.

Crumpi :H :H Actually I laughed at your original spelling which was crumpette. The mental images were confusing to say the least!
Anyway, if she's on for Wiii boxing she's got to be a decent Sheila.
Fickle - I did boxing for a couple of years .... never got the courage to go into the ring, but you are right - it is amazing for cardio fitness, balance and agility. Sounds like you had a blast of a weekend - all that laughing is so good for the soul!
Feeling very satisfied at the mo. Had a late start (both cats curled up on either side of me, so I was trapped in bed :H:H) so lay there and thought about the thing I needed to do. By the time I got up, it was all planned out in my head and I just churned through it. I need to remember that - instead of sitting in front of a blank screen panicking about not getting words on the page.
Crap day here, but cozy inside and thinking I might do some preparation for International Fudge Day tomorrow ........
dog it is so easy to see the hours go past while I am on MWO. Between reading and writing this post 45 minutes has gone by, when I was just stopping for a 10 min break!!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Well folks...do you ever get unerring feeling that change is in the air ???
I have just been informed that the house I am living in is about to be abandoned by it's owners, my family, to go live somewhere else/travel etc.........and that it's all mine if I want it.....embarrassingly small token rent......
Meanwhile, I'm being offered jobs left right and centre for Dog knows what reason....more work than I can poke a stick at.
THEN
Just had an interesting phone call from a mate down south, who was not aware that I am up North, desperately looking for accomodation...........looks like I just found meself a tennant for the Southern bastion...............
The boy is having a bloody ball up here with all his cousins, hooning around various farms on quad bikes etc, enjoying the male bonding experience of his uncles and older males.
There's a picture forming here in't there ?

Still have to think all of this through some more ....moving schools is a BIG decision ....he's been trained to take his education very seriously, so I've got to back myself up on that.....There is a good private school locally that I might then be able to afford ..... hmmm....If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
