    Over here they used to have ads all the time on TV at different times of the year about how easy it was to get a loan for this and for that. Christmas vacation loan, then you got the Easter vacation loan, then the summer holiday loan, then the back to school loan for clothes, books, etc. and then the "pay off all your other loans" loan so you could pile all your debts in one lump and pay them off that way. Problem was in order to afford to pay back all these loans, you'd lost your car and your house and no longer had a vehicle to drive anywhere for vacation and no home to come back to if you did...
