The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

Thats one thing I did from the start with all of them..trained them how to sleep, go to bed, stay in bed and fall asleep on their own...I have never had trouble int hat dept. Thank God, I couoldn't cope with it.

The 2 year old goes to bed at 7pm and will sleep till about 9 usually..

Ag, the bigger one isn't all that bed sleeping wise. Bed time at night, yes, but does sleep to 8-8.30 at times (like weekends). But the little one. nonononono... still up through the night and early morning.

Be bigger one is very naughty in all possible ways though. My mom tells me it's his genes though so can't blame the little fella :H Apparently I was 10 times worse :H

By the way... let's just take the soccer out of the equation completely..

Isn't it amazing how a nation as broken through its history as ours can come together through an event like this and at 12pm today people of ALL walks of life, young, old, rich, poor, black, white, coloured, indian can come together as a nation to support our country?!! I had goosebumps more like Elephant pimples (lol) with all these soccer trumpets blowing. I'm proud of my country today. United we are now. Let the past rest in the past.

Nice post and sentiments. The world cup fever here in 90 & 94 was something to behold, can only imagine what is is like to be held in your own country.

Yeah. It's just great when a whole country gets excited about something together as opposed to the usual cries about crime, poverty, racial tensions, etc. You can't close your eyes to these things obviously but it's just great to see that for a common purpose/thing we can unite. It gives great hope I think.

I think one of our politicians said, look, if a World Cup can make Germany look cool with their Nazi history, etc. It can surely do good for our country and unite us.

I just wish people could leave the past behind and move on. But easy said from someone that was previously 'advantaged' as they would call it. With the great social indifferences in our country it is difficult sometimes just to forget the past and move on. But even more so I'm glad for the next 4 weeks we'll be united as a nation.
