    Mrs Donovan makes 30 days AL free!

    Haven't been able to say that since I was about 13!

    Thanks so much to everybody here at MWO. I am here everyday learning from everyone and identifying with so much here. I just don't contribute much yet as I really don't feel like I have anything insightful to add yet :H I've just started chipping away at myself.

    What I'm realising though is getting sober really is SO much more than just stopping drinking. I've put myself on a real earning curve!

    Here's to another 30!

    The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there.           How do you feel? Are you thinking of having a drink?
          Just curious, I'm 20 days behind you and at this stage I couldn't face a beer or whisky. It is right out of my mind. If you feel the same way then you have it beat. Congratulations Mrs.D.

              Blue - I've really been fine. I had a craving last night because I went to look round a potential new house to rent and when I got home I was all excited about it and I had this fleeting strong craving to crack open the wine! But it was fleeting - I really like looking up to the sky and taking a big deep breath if I get a craving. I learnt that in the toolbox and it really does help. And then I remember that like everyone else - I can't just have 1 or 2 - that I would get totally wasted, that I would feel like killing myself and that I would bring all the anxiety and panic attacks back......and all because I quite liked the house I'd just looked at - madness!

              Good luck to you - I'm going for the next 30 and I've got a couple of nights out to get through coming up so that will be a first.
