Oh no. Sorry to hear that Chill. I;ve been meaning to ask you. Does your wife feel the same way about Jesus? When my wife and I did the Purpose Driven Life together (Rick Warren). It is amazing how it grew us closer together again. Understanding God's purpose together.
Have a good nights sleep over it. I used to fight a lot with my wife. But being on the same journey together now seems to have made the arguments less prominent.

hey there, i havent found god, but my story is in the my story section for you to perusse.
as it happens my mother found god and sobered up, then left her abusive hubby and raised my sisters to be beautifull ladies. she seems to have slipped of the wagon of late, this might be the chance to get her thinking of how she started her AF time 17yrs ago. she went 15 yrs AF, now she has been knocking a bottle of red a night i just found out.i may tell her you are a good friend online and need her help, does that sound ok to you or to decietfull?

Asp, I can't answer for Diz, but I know for me if you once have a Higher Power, by whatever name your call Them by, it does not leave your life. I would love to have your mother contact me if you want. As I've gotten older, and see my God in my grandchildren's faces now, I feel it more and more necessary to explore my spiritual contacts. A decade ago, when I lost my beloved parents, I experienced things with their passings that cannot be explained, and are not imagined. I am not tied to a particular church or religion, it is through my heart that I have found my belief. Your mother's health and continued recovery will be in my daily thoughts.

Have you consulted an attorney regarding the legalities of using peoples personal stories, even though you will be using their pseudnyms? This could present legal issues. Also, I have some issues with people here feeling unsafe if they believe that their personal stories might be published. MWO is a place where our anonymity and our privacy is protected. People here feel free to write about their very personal struggles, families, friends and yes, addiction. I do worry that if people came her knowing that somone was writing a book using this website for material, many would feel violated and unsafe. I fear that many members would leave, when they can really benefit so much from what this site has to offer. Roberta Jewel is the published author who started and maintains this website. She would never use our stories for a book.

I am not trying to rain on your parade. If writing is your passion, surely you can find many topics and resources that you can use as a catalyst for your writing.

Draggy, I was actually trying to be helpful and get some clarity and what is going on here. There are legal considerations. I am a published writer. I write articles and often interview people for said articles. Even though these people willingly interview, I still need legal releases.

Yeah. I knew there'd be people who'd get all weird and defensive. I'm not using any material from this website. I'd never do that. So if you don't want to email me, then don't. But cyclefan, you seems like you're sarcastic toward and about God. I i will be prayin for you cycle. But please, don't email me if you feel strongly against my idea. It doesn't bother me.
