The atmosphere in Cape Town is electric. I could already hear vuvuzelas when I got up at 5.30. Getting into the CBD was a challenge, because fans are already streaming in.

Everwywhere you look, people have dressed up for the occasion in Bafana Bafana or South African colours. The foyer of our building already had the flags of the participating countries hanging from the deiling, but today there are huge posters on the walls and astroturf on the floors

Somehow, I don't think much work is going to get done :H

JC: the Balck-Eyed Peas sucked in the concert. They are clearly better at studio-produced albums.

Alicia Keyes rocked. So did some of the African artists.

Watching the preparations for the World cup and the pure joy and excitement over there is really contagious.
