I believe, and have told "them" that Ollie found it hard to do homework in the centre coz of the distractions from the other children..

when I go for weds visit, I help him with his homework and several times I have complained to the carers that it is imposible to hear ourselves talk let alone think with all the commotion going on....!!

god knows what it's like the days I'm not there...!!

at least it's just about over now..
was thinking of getting classes during the summer for ollie..
but NO we deserve 12 weeks happy times together..
I will help him once he's back to school...
he's very clever actually.. finds maths as easy as hell..very logically minded..
          (like mummy)...
Jan, I also remember you posted that they gave him piles of stuff to read on the weekends and that there really wasn't time for him to do all the homework they gave him. Seems to me like the teachers were slackers. As for the noise, nobody can concentrate in a hubbub. Good that he's going to a new school. And so fantastic that he'll soon be home to stay. I think it was Oney (or maybe Starts) who posted that we're going to have a great big "Welcome Home Ollie" party here at the Army. Cake and icecream for all. And big balloons!!! And huge, huge hugs and kisses for the little bean...:h:h

                    Hi Guys,

Needed to get my issues off the chest before I came here on the Army thread and pull everyone else down with me. Does that make sense?

Starting to feel a lot stronger now. honestly. I value you guys so much!!! HOnestly, Don't know where I'd be this morning if I didn't have this forum.

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

Decided to give the fan fest a definite miss today. Will watch the games on TV. with the meeting at 3pm in between. Actually starting to look forward to my day. Some strong coffee has helped as well

As you point out elsewhere eat something as well. Personally I find pouring pints of water down my neck helps too. Fills me up, takes away the thirst and as does just the act of putting a pint glass to my lips.

yeah. true that. And a quick caffeine high also seems to help. Helped this morning along with all the good advice.

You'll be cheering on England tonight Ktab? Or any team BUT?!

Interesting question. Nearly every Irish fan here supports an english club side, yet there was a time in the recent past when it was open hostility toward the English national side. I always thought that was double standards, fine if you are nationalistic and hate them and I can understand that given recent history but dont go around in a liverpool or man utd jersey for the rest of the season. Thankfully that seems to be a thing of the past and glasses no longer get thrown at the screen in pubs while the eng national anthem is played.
In answer to your original question yes I will be supporting our near neighbours tonight v the USA. I think it is the british press that gets up our noses with the whole superiority attitude at times in relation to the team. This time round it seems to be absent to the same extent but will no doubt be back when they win a few games, as I think they will. Eng could go all the way this time I reckon.
