Help guys - I'm losing the battle

    Great post Dancelot. Thank you.

I did get to the meeting and it was great.

Unfortunately the phone line isn't 24hr manned (that's for the whole of SA). I would have thought so. Actually only half days mondays to fridays and then some contact details for hours outside those. But no one picked up there either. But I don't really care anymore. I foudn the meeting and am grateful for that. As hOney said in the Army thread. Mayb it was meant to be that I missed the other meeting to be at this one

Luuuuv what you're saying about the childhood view/memories. That's such a great way of looking at things. I gotta start using that. Very good advice.

          I completely forgot to mention:

I went to my pharmacy, they still had a copy of my old prescription, know my doc and said they'd give the Antabuse to me and ask my doc for a new prescription. So I got them and am on them allready. I'ts a great comfort!!!

AND I also managed to get some L Glut (brand is Bioharmony). It's capsules, that right? I've taken two capsules.
          So fully sorted out now

              sorry RC, X posted.

One day, one day... At the moment I value that little bit of sleep I get with two little children :H

Definately think they should strive towards the 24hr line.

I suggest taking 5 gm twice daily for digestive disorders. Someone said up to 20gm per day not a problem. The powder form is less expensive to take a therapeutic dose. Also I've read that some will put it directly under the tongue to speed absorption.(which makes perfect sense)

you funny....that would mean 2 X's 500mg = 1 gm....therefore you need 10 caps to get 5gm....that's why the powder is more economical and convenient to take....if they are capsules you can twist them open and stir into water or juice

No Worries Johnny-I take my L-Glut twice a day and they are 1000mg each. I don't think you can have too much L-Glut. The MWO program update says up to 3000mg per day. I take one capsule in the morning and one at night before bed. Never tried the under the tongue with the contents.

So glad you found the meeting and that it was all you had hoped it would be. I've never tried AA myself but given my propensity for chatting (I seem to monopolize my Weight Watchers meetings :H) I would probably feel very comfortable there. Then again, maybe they wouldn't want a chatterbox there!! anyway, glad you day is almost over and that tomorrow will be a new day.

Dancing On-Loved your post!! I've got to try and go back and remember what it was like to live in this world pre Alcohol. I know I had a happy childhood so it must have been grand.
Keep up the good work Johnny. Now that you've found a fellow AAer you both can enjoy the World Cup together and sober!!

Thanks guys. Will take another 1000mg before going to bed as well. Believbe it helps lowering blood sugar as well which is great. I can do with that (especially with my sweets addiction).

L-Glute is also useful for sugar cravings and is good for people trying to break refined carb cravings. Glad you found a source for the Antabuse too! Good going, Johnny!
