Why CAN'T you cook? Wouldn't your family enjoy you sober, making them a nice meal. Your kids are going to think their dad is great for cooking such a nice dinner. Why do you have to wait to have a guest to cook a nice meal for your family?

It's something that I've started doing more of since I quit drinking.

Ok, I have Antabuse here.....even though I take NAL to fight the beast. I am going to pop mine right now but only if you'll take yours with me.

      Are you in or not?
Johnny, just now saw the update on this thread and have quickly read through the posts. Rusty reflects my thoughts perfectly. Take the Antabuse and cook a lovely supper for your family. It will help take your mind off the AL and will make you feel good that you're making something special for your wife and kids who love and need you. You'll get through this. You will. And as you've already seen, there are a lot of folk who have got your back right now. We're here for you. Just as you have been for many here so far.
Give AL the big kick in the butt that he deserves and don't beat yourself up about feeling weak. Everyone does from time to time. Instead, congratulate yourself on coming here and posting and getting through this little crisis. And don't make Coco yell anymore. It made my ears hurt....:huggy:

Hey guys. It's done. Haaaaaaaaaaaa...... It actually felt relieving in a way. The pressure off basically. I've also taken 6 capsules of L glut. opened them and took the powder straight.

Thanks for your quick and great support. AT least now I know no matter how much I crave, I can't give in.

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

I really need to reconsider if I'm in a position to go without Antabuse allready. IT's probably way too early. I need to take it for another couple of months I guess.

Haha.... NO it's taken JC. thanks. Sometimes words are just words when someone doesn't want to listen. But deep inside I came here knowing you guys would lead me in the right direction and that I would eventually listen. I don't know what I would do without MWO. Honestly. I wouldn't cope. I just have no one I can come to when I struggle liek this other then here.

Nothing wrong with crying Johnny. I've done my fair share of it in the past few weeks. All feelings are relevant man! Embrace them and reflect upon them. It's better to be able to cry than to be completely out of touch with your feelings. Way to go mate.

I would love to cook for my family. But to be honest I'll rather stick around here right now. IT's just good to be with ppl right now, even if in the virtual world, that understand me.

Thanks Johnny. Man it's just so scary how that switch can just flip within a minute. This morning waking up I could have bet a hundred donkeys I would get through this day sober and without craving. And then withing one minute i'm ready to throw it all away...

And don't forget mate, it's not that we can't give in, it's that we choose not to.

I'm really happy I got to return your kindness to me mate, I meant what I said. Your really helped me the other day.

Ach Johnny, treat yerself to a take out tonight, you must be exhausted and tomorrow we'll get a plan in place for after the world cup. You'll have plenty of time for AA for instance.

and sweetheart, I have no where else to go either but here.

I know what you mean. I get totally freaking blindsided by it. I'll be OK one minute, then all of a sudden it's there. MWO is a really unique and special place guys. I'm so glad we can be here for each other.

I really need to get better plans in action post World Cup. IT's true it takes up so much time and attention at the moment, that i'm getting complacent, too complacent about my sobriety.
