Help guys - I'm losing the battle

I'm going to my first meeting tonight guys. Well scared!
"The greatest hazard of all, losing one?s self, can occur very quietly in the world, as if it were nothing at all. No other loss can occur so quietly; any other loss - an arm, a leg, five dollars, a wife, etc. - is sure to be noticed." Soren Kierkegaard.

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

        Yeah Johnny.

All I can say right now is. Thank God for MWO and for Antabuse. Thanks to Tippers I found a cheaper online pharmacy as well so I'm good now to afford the Antabuse on a more full time basis again. I really need to get with the programme again.

          Good job!

Now treat yourself to some french toast fried in bacon fat with cheese!!

(I've just finished my dry toast with tomato slices so I couldn't possibly join you.)

            Thanks Mario.

Yeah. so true. What's the use though of posting all of this. And then when the desperation hits you forget the very things you've said yourself?! It's so frustrating.

Good luck with that meeting Johnny. I'm so sure you will love it. It really did help last time for me.

                  Shew. Thank goodness Coco.

WOW. I'm so blimmin tired now I could go straight to bed. Unbelievable how much energy these inner struggles can take out of you.
But I really want to watch the last African team remaining in the WC play.

But deep inside I came here knowing you guys would lead me in the right direction and that I would eventually listen. I don't know what I would do without MWO. Honestly. I wouldn't cope. I just have no one I can come to when I struggle liek this other then here.
It was the right move to come here. That's what MWO is all about. If you really, deep down inside you, had wanted to drink, you wouldn't even have bothered to come here and post. You would have just gone and invited AL over to watch the game with you. :goodjob: Johnny. As Jackie says, treat yourself to a lovely take-out, sit back and relax as best you can. Game's on in just over an hour....

Help guys - I'm losing the battle

Good night all. Thank you all so much for your support once again.

I'm going to lie on the couch now. Maybe I'll make it through for the soccer, more likely I will fall asleep. I feel at peace right now. The battle is over.

You've once again carried me through this. Thank you. YOur support this last hour has been invaluable. And you're the reason I"m still sober right now.

I love you guys. See you tomorrow.
