I was too busy with the soccer yesterday. How was the family outing? Aside from the masses of Burgers Mr. had?!

Little ones fever is up again. Wifey called me struggling to administer the supository. shame man. Wish I was at home to look after my baba.
johnny if the fever keeps going up after the suppository, I would take babe to the doc.
I would if he were mine..just saying..

yep thats the way, hold the cheeks, so it can't pop back out..

yeah... I'm concerned. Only gave a supository this morning though. up untill this morning it was all manageable. This morning fever was higher. So let's see what happens now. When we took the biger brother to the doc recently the doctor said to give the suptositorys for 24 hours (6 hourly) to break the fever. So think will check out what happens today still.

It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. I administered it this morning. It is a little bit more difficult it seems than with the brother. Also because we had to cut teh supository in half to half the dose as recommended on the packet insert. so it's very short. Anycase. Way to much detail for administering these things now :H if there are any ppl on here that were contemplating having babys they might have changed their mind by now :H:H:H

John, the suppositories are but a wee bit of the struggles of parenthood. When my first was born, and old lady told me 'when they're tiny they tread on our feet, when they're grown they tread on our heart'. Didn't understand it at all then.

yeah. I understand what you mean. Allthough mine are only 3 years and 8 months respectively. I'm glad I have some time to go. I'm sure it's one helluva tough thing when the kids start growing up. At the moment it's such a blessing being able to be there and knowing they depend on you. Gives you purpose. And is wonderful. Then next thing they grow up, start being rebellious in their teens and it seems all you've ever done for them isn't appreciated, gets trempled on.

I can understand only too well. As I was such a very rebellious teenager and with hindsight am very sorry for teh pain i've caused my parents.

However by now we've put that all behind us and I don't miss an occasion to tell my mother how glad I am about my ubringing. That i'm trying to do my very best to practice those principles on my kids.

Just as a little encouragement to you moms with older children. The day comes when you realise all the blood and sweat your parents have put into your upbringing

Hi all. Popped in for just a short lurk.
Johnny is it possible to cut the suppositories lengthwise rather than crosswise. Would be easier to hang on to.
You have the cutest grandkids Ruby. Wish I had a few.
Oney, the tomatoes are out of the oven and ready to eat. Are you sure you want the recipe? Took me an hour and a half just to prepare them. They are stuffed with rice, black currants, onion, parsley and the flesh of the tomatoes. Lots of EVOO in both the filling and over the potatoes you cook in the pan with the tomatoes and peppers. If you want the recipe, I'll post it. Just let me know...
