I'm too cheap to buy ALL the books I want to read (ok, frugal is a nicer word). I just reserved a copy at my library, they bring it in for a 50 cent fee. Can't beat that!"The greatest hazard of all, losing one?s self, can occur very quietly in the world, as if it were nothing at all. No other loss can occur so quietly; any other loss - an arm, a leg, five dollars, a wife, etc. - is sure to be noticed." Soren Kierkegaard.

My book should be at the library within the next couple of days, so we will probably all be starting it around the same time!:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

I ordered mine today but as I dont live in an English speaking country it will take 10 days to get here, are we making this a monthy book? i.e. if this is for July we have until the end of the month before we review it....?"In the depths of winter I finally learned there was in me an invincible summer ."

Ok, that sounds like a good idea. I am going to do all I can to stop my impetuous nature from devouring the contents of these pages all at once. It will be a good exercise in delaying gratification. Perhaps I will make it my bedtime read.
If I am unable to put it down, c'est la vie, mes amis !"The greatest hazard of all, losing one?s self, can occur very quietly in the world, as if it were nothing at all. Just do the best you can Johnny, no guarantees from me either. When I get going on a book, watch out! I recently just started one that Techie suggested and I can't put it down. It will hold me over until my July Book gets delivered to the Library.:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

What is it?"The greatest hazard of all, losing one?s self, can occur very quietly in the world, as if it were nothing at all. No other loss can occur so quietly; any other loss - an arm, a leg, five dollars, a wife, etc. - is sure to be noticed." Soren Kierkegaard.

It's a "prequel" (I guess) to the other one he suggested that I LOVED. The first one to read is The Shadow of the Wind, followed by The Angels Game, both by Carlos Ruiz Zafron. Now I hope I'm not confusing anyone on this thread. This is in answer to Johnny's question.:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Already on it my friend. They are ordered and will be with me soon. I read a lot of non fiction which can be heavy going at times. I'm looking forward to some relaxing literature.
Thanks again."The greatest hazard of all, losing one?s self, can occur very quietly in the world, as if it were nothing at all. No other loss can occur so quietly; any other loss - an arm, a leg, five dollars, a wife, etc. - is sure to be noticed." Soren Kierkegaard.
