Going to Round of 16, quarters and semis in Cape Town.

For some, some reason I was one of the few fortunate ppl who got all the tickets they applied for.
    Wow! That's almost unheard of...

They must have heard that you're a man with a big appetite....

Hi Johnny. Great that you get to see the games live. So much excitement. The atmosphere must be amazing.
Chill may be off for an early morning bike ride before it gets too hot.

Haha. Not sure how I got so fortunate. I didn't apply for the maximum amount of tickets though for the matches. Not sure that's got something to do with it?! Applied for either 2 or 3 tickets for each match.

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

Atmosphere is fantastic Stirly. I imagine the heat will turn up a couple of notches now that we're in knock off stages. Will be going into central CT tomorrow to watch the England Germany clash on big screen. Can't wait to see the atmosphere.

Sorry for Greece for not making it further.

Yeah, I was sorry about Greece, too. I thought our players played well. If three of our best players hadn't been taken out due to injuries I think the outcome might have possibly been a 0-0 score. However, we still would not have gone further as we needed to win the match. Maradona apparently congratulated each and every one of our players for playing really well and then afterwards at the press conference said that our guys had been kicking Messi a lot and giving him a hard time. Didn't notice that personally. Anyway, there have been a lot of surprises at the World Cup so far this year. Interesting game tomorrow with England vs Germany. You should have a great time watching it on the big screen...

We're going whale watching in Hermanus, ice skating at Grand West, and if the weather holds, a day trip to go and have some offroad fun in my Jeep (Mrs. T doesn't like doing it).

Those are some of the plans: there will have to be some domestic drudgery as well: the burglar alarm needs repairing (motherboard blew), moles have invaded my lawn and it looks as if a digger-loader has been in there...

Sounds like fun Tips. Will you skate with the cubs or just stand by and cheer them on?
I like off-road but Mr. Stirly likes to take me up and down inclines that I'm sure are going to cause the Freelander to topple so I get a bit nervous. But I like to get off the beaten track and right into the heart of nature.
                              Later, Johnny...

I surprised them the last time I took them, so I'm game this time round as well.

I'm extremely wobbly on the ice and will no doubt have a blue & black arse (again) as well as a busted knee (again) and walk around with stiff muscles (again), but its fun

Mrs. T was freaked out when I parked the Jeep at an incline when we couldn't get convenient parking at a rugby game, for feck's sake... she insisted on getting out 1st :H
