Nothing i love more than grabbing some big boofhead when he's losing it, hugging him, and saying, 'i love ya mate'. Call me old fashioned, but the biggest of boofhead's who could palm me away with one hand over a tall building, alway's have responded initially scratching their head's and shaking it as if to awake from a dream, but then focusing, and settling down. Not only do i like to believe that, it makes a lot of sense. And we can draw strength from our ancestor's. I think it's true. I really need to go bush, i.e. live in the bush. Living in the city, there's far too much crazy static and noise, and with some nature and a bit of peace and quiet, a heap more of me and who i am, etc, will stare me right in the face i reckon. Could be an owl on a tree (), a yellow bellied sapsucker flying past, a butterfly chasing a mate, a nip in the ankle from a young eastern brown, just sayin to me...'Good on ya G-man, just keep doing what your doing buddy'.
Too much noise and distraction in city life for the lay spiritualist.

I must admit I was puzzled when I gathered that you were a city bloke.I know the music industry is a hard one ....but Geez matee ...this is your LIFE...and music does happen in the country...anyway tis your choice of course........

Bridge & Mr G. Our ancestors do live within us. It is our genetic inheritance.
Where I came from originally (Orkney) there is a neolithic stone ring on Stenness. The Ring Of Brodgar. The stones hold 5000 years of the islanders history.
It is said that if one has the gift of reading the stones then all the history is in them.
Like giant hard drives in a way. I don't know if I can read the stones. I've never tried.

That's really interesting stuff Bluey. I think we as human's can get far too caught up in trivia if we live in the city, and forget nature, simplicity, ourselves. A cliche, but it's true for me i know.

You're right Bridge. And reckon i'll get me some acreage in the next 5 years somewhere. It will have to be near the ocean. In the meantime though, i have been thinking of renting an hour north out of melbourne on a country property. I'll just see through this year first, and see where the land lay's i think.

I agree with the simplicity bit.My life is as simple as I can make it. I don't answer the phone, all my mail goes to a PO Box. I am not on any electoral or other rolls. And it's all deliberate minimalism. I've been working on it for years.
