Morning All.
Interesting discussion there last night.
No there is very little service available for troubled kids in between here and institutionalisation. An American lady I knew used to work at one of their 'boot camps' for youth, which I thought was a step in the right direction.
But I've had a violent child with me, and it just about destroyed the lot of us (didn't help my drinking AT ALL ).........I'll never forget the helplessness, and sense that nobody knew what to do, especially the hoards of so called professionals that I consulted with. Most of them are bang full of shit and politically correct arse covering.

After THAT rush of blood to the head....how are we all ??
Where's the frog ?
Has everyone buggered off for the weekend ?
If so.....good on youz.....

G'day Bridge. I'm here. A bit battle weary from the discussion last night. Where were all you chickens?
It is now 9am here, 12deg and overcast. I have to go to town b'cos I've run out of smokes. I'll also get the paper. Not much else on the horizon, it being Saturday and there's piss-all to do.
I like the weekends, not because they're much different but because I can sit around like a schmuck and not feel that I ought to be doing something productive.
There are lawns to mow, cars to be washed and all the other domestic trvia to attend to but I can turn a blind eye to all of that because it's Saturday and a man deserves a bit of a rest...doesn't he?

I hate visitors Bridge. Especially my fat loud-mouthed Bro-in -law. Fair dinkum, he's got one brain cell operating on his best day. After ten minutes I want to kick him but I can't. My wife is fond of him so I have to put up with him. His wife and cretinous children are no better.

Absolutely! But he is not entirely without qualities. He is one of the most honest men I know. He couldn't lie if his life depended on it and he has worked hard all his life. Africa, Mongolia, the outback. He's done it all. But he is still fat and stupid and does need a kicking. Not only that, in the days when I used to drink (not so long ago as you will know) he would happily drain my beer fridge and not bring any himself...nothing intentional but he has no capacity to plan in advance and just assumes my casa is his casa. French people are like that.
