    Another Cracker Day In Noosa

Temperature just right. Sunny and warm.
I hope everyone is enjoying the day. I have just posted my 'Au Revoir' message in Techie's thread in "General Discussion" and will be interested to see the responses.
This place is not the same as the rest of the shop. More relaxed. I feel less inclined to be serious here. It's more a 'grab a stubbie and let's blow it out' kind of a place.
I suppose it would be innapropriate to stay on here and ignore the rest of the boards, although I am inclined to do just that. I will really miss Oney. Did you know that she's got 'Killer Eyes?' Not the eyes of a killer, but the eyes that look into the soul.
Yep TWOTW. I'll miss Bridge too. I really wanted to see the 'running in the street with nightie' avatar. Gimme your opinions.(I'll just be here quietly sipping on a (ginger) beer and ogling the sheila with the fat arse) The night is young and who knows what dreams will come. Yay!

      Evening all,

Bluey, yer off ya rocker, but i love ya mate. Ginger beer's my poison too. Usually Bundy, but i tried one by cascade brewery recently. Boutique stubbie, dark bottle, looks like booze. I loved it. I'm sure a couple of folk quietly wondered if i was back on the turp's again! he he.

Hiya Beagle! Lovely to see you again. I wish you the smoothest, safest passage through your mourning for your little friend.

I hope no-one's taking too much of that virtual turmoil and talk going around on board. It'll pass, and it happen's from time to time, which given the site, is understandable, i reckon.

      Have a great evening folk's!

Dunno Beagle. I like it here but don't want it to be a struggle. I am delighted with the results and if there is a little pain maybe I can live with it. It's a bloody sight easier here (in this little corner anyway) than on the main forums.

              Evening Beagle, Bluey & Serge,

Beagle - great to see you. Hope your shrinkage will be beneficial. Let's know how it goes AND we have to know about any new goldie in your life.

Melbournians beware - you're in for some shit weather. It's pussing down here and blowing a gale. Might cave up now.

Just had a long lavender bath after a 12 hour day (although I did manage to get out for a run at lunchtime). Running a bit behind at work and have a rilly important meeting to attend tomorrow afternoon. (that's important to me, not to the rest of the universe!!!) Just catching up on a day in the life of MWO.

Oh Beagle!! :l Know what you mean about winter and crap weather and seasonal affective disorder and all of that. I've been feeling really down in the dumps for the last couple of weeks - its not that I've been having a crap time, just feel like I dont have much resilience when even small things happen. And I get a bit introverted too. (I dont mind being a bit introverted, mind, but there isn't always a lot of laughter in it!)

And as Tawny says, only 49 days to the start of spring!

More importantly only 7 days to National Lamington Day and Tawny's special day ....... :H

Good advice Mr G on ignoring the virtual turmoil. I've been following it!

But the best news of the day is that Betty pooed and peed today - first time since Sunday!!!!! :H:H Took concerted effort on behalf of Mr B who had to put her in the litter tray every time she wanted to go outside as vet thought that the issue was behavioral rather than medical. Dawg, I wish that I had her self-discipline :H:H

Not sure that I agree with that Bluey. Its relaxed, but it is also serious. I post on this thread for two reasons and two reasons alone - because it helps me stay off the grog and because its in my time zone. In the last year the Amazing Underoos helped me through nursing my brother with cancer, his death, my mother's successive hospitalisations and her subsequent move into a rest home. I haven't always managed it as well as I would have liked, but it has been an important touch stone for me to post here most days.

I have a good laugh sometimes on a Saturday or Sunday morning at the night befores antics when people have been witty and clever and had fun ...... but mostly I'm here to read the gems of wisdom that we all come up with every now and then through sharing our personal experiences with the every day reality of living with and living without alcohol. And I love the Army too! I quite like to pop in there in the morning when I'm at work early, and they are making yesterday's tea and you lot are still in bed!!

                              The 21st eh?

On that day i am doing 'Mental health first aid' training. I am going to suggest using the word 'Lamington' as a time out strategy if training get's a bit too much for some folk on the day. Thank's for the reminder Missy. I really don't know why that date isn't already in my diary.

Is this the face of one who does not understand?
