          sorry didn't mean to go awol.
          isn't it bear grills not lucky?
          altho he is lucky he's not dead. i saw an episode where he claimed to go down some white water rapids using only his back pack & an old placky bag as a flotation device but once his jumper got wet you could clearly see his life vest on underneath - like, RILLY clearly.
          thanks mr g for earlier advice given. taken on board.
          talk with hubby has not yet had as talker a full on puss burger. somehow track that goes between brain & mouth bypassed.

                And why exactly do you feel so drawn to watch it anyhoo? When you say how much you hate it week after week G-man???

                I have an excuse.. kids put it on and then I go WHAAAAAA GO TO BED!!! and switch it off. I've only ever bothered when leaned upon by kiddos. Never would've even seen it otherwise.

                Golly there is so many other things to be doing! I have 99 problems and a B*%&$ aint one... or 99 TV programs to watch.. or whtever if you get my drift

                    Errr, umm......well, i'm just waiting for the 10.00 p.m. S.B.S. porno to be advertised, that's all. But i watch too much t.v. even if it is just on in the background. Good point Fickos..

                          hey ficks & mr g.
                          i'm waiting for masterchef to come on.
                          i'm addicted to crap tv shows i'm afraid.
                          i confess to actually liking survivor.
                          but never ever ever watched neighbours or home & away or any other soaps.
                          now just as i get back,must go AGAIN as slobs to feed.
                          will return tomorrow night as both slobs will be out of my life for 3 whole nights & i will tell you all about my shrinkage. g'night.

                            Am a wee bit proud and a wee bit disappointed. Had a plan and all was going well. But received some very bad news this weekend and it made me think. A lot. Also went a little off rails but not as much as expected. Yay me.

                            Lost a nephew in his 20s a few days ago. Overdose. Brought back the argument I had on this thread not so long back.

                            Basically it needs to be said - 2 things:

                            - I know plenty of people who are disgusted by junkies. I know plenty of people who view anyone who drinks too much or smokes too much with similar disgust. Self destruction is ALWAYS UGLY, no matter what the means.

                            - Every person with a substance abuse issue has a mother, father, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, children, etc. For every man/woman down, there are so many that suffer. Medical help is a human right and marginalising anyone because of their health issue is just plain WRONG. It does massive injustice not only to the one who dies, but also to everyone who loves them.
