hey all and good morning....long weekend hey god that sounds nice...was pretty hard to drag the old carcass out of the doona this morning. Got the sniffles and just want to go to sleep but alas the bills wont let me so of to the salt mine i go.... enjoy your day those lucky enough to have the day off and those that don't...like me...have a great one

The Friday Chook Chronicles

Week 2 saw some interesting results.

Bridget showed consistency and determination, producing eggs of a respectable size. In sequence, she laid 56g, 57g, 51g, 56g, 54g, 55g and 60g. giving her an egg weight average of 55.5g, an increase of 1.4g over week 1.

Missy produced 61g, 0g, 63g, 0g, 68g, 68g and 63g. The unexplained lack of egg on days 9 and 11 may be due to her deciding to take an unofficial RDO. Perhaps she chucked a sickie. Maybe she had a headache or maybe she was just plain bludging. Her egg weight average for week 2 now sits at 68.3g, an increase of 8.3g over week 1. It must be noted that her 61g egg on day 8 was, in fact, a double-yolker, the first this study has recorded.

In summary - Missy is still producing larger eggs but tends toward bursts of slothful lethargy whilst Bridget doggedly applies herself to the task at hand.

Egg total to date: 23 (Bridget 14, Missy 9)
