People who are browsing the site but have not yet joined up. If you look at the bottiom of the home page of the forum, you'll see the number of members vs the number of visitors (the lurkers).

I was a lurker for about 1 1/2 months before I had the guts to join and start posting

JC is probably the most infamous "non-lurking lurker" - she just WAITS to pounce and is very observant.

Oney, on the other hand, doesn't lurk as much as she keeps an ear out for something out of the ordinary.

I wonder if they think its accurate? :H:H:H

Maybe there should be several terms to distinguish among the silent types. Perhaps Lurkers (non-members) and Creepers (lurking members). Then there should definitely be a classification for those trouble-making types who pop in periodically!
