Yikes - can you imagine the calories/fat in that stuff?!! Boy was it good...)
Haha.. You can't scare me with those calories. That actually sounds FANtastic!!!!

I make french toast in the same way.

Fry the bacon first, then put bacon with cheese in between two slices of bread, dip the whole thing into raw blended eggs, fry the whole sandwich in the bacon fat. mmmmmmmmm....

The bacon flavourde scrambled egg on the outside of the sandwish. The bacon with the melted cheese inside. mmmmmmm.....

The thought of this must allready be ruining yoru diet?!!! :H:H:H

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

        Haha..

Some yellow cheddar cheese or gouda does the trick for me. Also delicious with some blue cheese if one likes the tangyness. You could also add some fried onion for the filling. Actually in that case chop up the bacon and fry it together with the onion

                            Hiya JC. Hey Mario.
Just finished watching the game myself. Good game, I enjoyed it and am looking forward to the match later between Ghana and Uruguay.

Oney's street party sounds like fun. I remember when I was younger we had street parties in our town. They'd rope off the centre of the town and set up big speakers and soft drink stands. All the kids in town would show up and we'd have a ball. Growing up in a small town in Canada then was really an advantage. There were no drugs, only a few kids drank a few beer and a good time was driving your Dad's car up to the lake for an icecream. Simple stuff and fun. Playing pinball and listening to Jumpin' Jack Flash on the Juke Box....
Oh, and chips that were served in a paper cone with salt and vinegar, the way KTAB likes them. They don't serve chips with vinegar anymore.

Yes, what's up with the chips? I used to have ballet lessons above 'The Old British Fish & Chip Shop' - you could SMELL the vinegared chips all through the lesson... We couldn't wait to finish up so we could go downstairs and get a newspaper wrapped order of chips! Extra salt and peppar sprinkled on them with malt vinegar - heaven!

Yep, the vinegar cut down a little bit on the greasiness of the chips and added zest to the flavour.
Coco - don't know where you grew up whether it was a small town or a big city but things in Canada then were far ahead of what a lot of other, older countries were. Our town had a population off 1450. Stayed that way for years. Surprisingly the last few years it has increased despite many people going off to cities to find work. Many people have retired there but there has been a large number of young families who work in the city near by but have chosen to raise their children in the relative peace and safety of a small town. Everybody knows everybody and if something isn't quite right, it's noticed immediately. Some people might not like that but if I was to have young kids in this day and age, I would certainly prefer to have neighbours that noticed if some stranger was talking to my kid and would actually go out and ask that person what they wanted. Or if you were on holidays and a neighbour noticed something odd at your house, the police would be called to investigate. Things like that. People who care about the guy next door.
Anyway, I got off track a bit. What I was going to say is that in our small town in the middle of the sixties we had an indoor gym at school, chemistry labs, soccer, football, baseball and track and field teams at school and a big football field and track to practice on. Our own town skating rink (that's why Canada has such good hockey players - we grew up with skates on our feet all winter). They built a tennis court next to the town baseball diamond in the late 60's. When I was young in the 50's we had our own movie house that was closed down and re-opened as the town theatre and is still running as such today. It was next to the town library which was stocked with all kinds of books for all ages and tastes. You could skip rope or ride your bike in the middle of the road and you knew that the car's driver would slow down for you. And if you fell off your bike, he'd be out of the car in a flash to help you. What I'm saying is that we had it all without the dangers and anonymity of a large city. It was good. Very good.
