dunno, I'm awaiting instructions. If it's Monday I won't be there as it's the son and heir's graduation and we're out most of the day.

After the World Cup BBQ and my godfather dying yesterday. Mr JC's has put all the leftover booze in the garage somewhere I can't find.
IMO you're really going to have to tell Mr Spuds to avoid the booze for at least a couple of weeks 'til you get back on track.
yeah, its flipping bonkers, when i was drinking (properly) he alway hid/locked away booze. i would hunt high and low until i found it. now there are bottles all over the flipping place. each time i have drank it has been stuff in the house, at least if i had to go to the shop i may have a moment of contemplation along the way. he did initially offer to stop drinking with me for a bit but i thought i was ok with it, well i was at first but something seems to have gone wonky

Perhaps saw his mistake after he got a lovely PM from me pointing out a few things. Now if the peeps who delete their posts would only have the balls to post an explanation as to why. Maybe even an apology if one is in order. That is all I have to say on the subject. And for those of you who read this, just to make things perfectly clear, this is not a holier-than-thou comment. It is just my opinion.

Mr JC did the first 30 days with me, he didn't even go out.
It's only a 5 minute walk to the corner shop but by the time I'd got dressed, got me shoes on, found the dog, put her lead on, found the poo bags, found me keys it didn't seem worth the effort for a sneaky drink.

You know those days when you know you will drink, it doesnt matter that it is 9 am you know it is only a matter of time, some time later that day you just know you will pick up a drink and lo and behold by 5pm or much earlier the glass is in hand, some sort of inevitability about it once the seed of thought is sown?
Well the good news is some days you just know you wont
Everyday can be like that if we put in the work required and remember nobody puts that drink to our lips but us.

And contrary to what some people might think, we are never 'cured' of this addiction, it is only managed.

I think there are some days you want to drink, you are desperate to have a drink and those are the days you come on here and tell us, those are the days you change yer plan, those are the days when you ask a friend for help. Those are the days when you say.."no matter what, I will NOT drink"

We all have those days.....but like Ktab says, putting in the work, getting a plan, coming on here, using the toolbox, taking yer meds etc etc, will all stop you from picking up that drink.

Oh and a gritty determination to remain sober. you have to WANT that more than anything.
