It can be an all encompassing craving, a feeling that nothing but putting that drink to our lips will matter. We may or may not accept our powerlessness over alcohol but dont mistake it for hopelessness as I did for a long time. It was easier than putting the effort in.

I find by coming here that it keeps me on track and in contact with (mostly ) like minded people in there goal of alcohol abstenence,I dont like to see all them argumentive threads ,even though i know they will happen again, but i dident come here for that as where i live the area is full of negative vibes & violence, hope it passes over and let the stirers whittle away and go somewhere else.

Hi again Mario, you are definitely not alone in that respect. I think my description of this place, especially the army thread as a sanctuary is apt.
