Well, yes usually, but today I was playing hooky all day. I went to see a friend of mine this morning and didn't get back til well after lunch time. Even called Mr. Stirly and told him to go hang out with Ronald McD. Had a delightful day with my bestest friend friend (here in Greece, that is).

                    Awwww, that sounds great

Had a rather good day myself - was more productive than I anticipated I would be :H

I'll just have to be up a sparrow's fart tomorrow morning - busy day ahead.

Sparrow's fart for a Saturday is around 8 a.m. - I normally prefer to lie in until around 9.30 in winter... even if I just lie there "drifting"

Oh, "drifting" is wonderful early in the morning. However, Mr. Stirly usually has other ideas on a lovely Saturday morning and it's usually earlier than sparrow's fart. Seeing that he usually gets up at 6 am, he has this built in alarm clock. Which sound to me more like a fecking emergency siren at that time... Don't ya know you can sleep in til 7? It's Saturday for feck's sake...:upset: Sumpin like that...

                          You have my sympathy

The cubs are getting their hamsters tomorrow. We can only hope that they won't become cat food anytime soon... I've been stonewalling them for years, but they've given their full commitment to look after the fecking things, so we'll see

Hello everyone! I hope you had a great day and are getting ready for the weekend. I did quickly read something about hamsters coming to live in a cat-friendly house. Hmmm.. Is this really a good idea? Anyway, I just discovered the thread with tigger! He's just left Australia and I don't know where he's going yet. Don't tell me!!!! It's great-I'm really enjoying all the pics and comments. You had a brillant idea with that. Well, I'm going to go check out the tig's travel adventure so I can catch up. Take care

I'm also going to head off - my presence has been requested to watch a mind-numbing program called Wipeout. Sober people making themselves look silly. What a change! :H

OMG. We had hamsters for a few years. First of all, if you get a male and female, you're gonna have another 50 within a year. If you have two females, you have to keep them in separate cages because when they're in heat, they can get really vicious with each other. Note that I tried to separate two females and got a bite on my thumb that was over a centimetre in depth. And one got bitten by the other and it got infected and we had to give her antibiotics AND drain off the infection with a syringe. In danger of getting bitten while doing so. They are cute little critters. Love to be petted but it they get loose they will quickly eat a hole in the undercover of your sofa and crawl up in there to hide. Good luck in getting them out. Actually a piece of cucumber rind or apple or something might lure them out. DO NOT FEED THEM LETTUCE. And I'm not sure about other things. It brings on an illness that paralyzes them and within a week, they're dead. I don't mean to discourage you but each little critter has it's pro's and con's. The male hamsters are, IMHO, rather ugly since their genitals are large in comparison with their body size and are "right in yer face". Oh, and at night, they just love to run on that fecking wheel. The one we had made so much noise that the dog went over and knocked her water thingey off the cage to get her to stop... And then of course the cats are going to love hanging out around the cage...
Okay, after saying that, I'm gonna retire to my boudoir. Sparrow fart comes early here in Stirly-world on a Saturday.
Wishing you a lovely evening and sweet dreams.
See you tomorrow if you're on the boards...:happyheart:
Expat, only just noticed you there. Tigger has been a lot of places since Australia. Read more of the posts. It's a very special, funny thread...
Hope you have a great evening...
