DG, I think you ought to become a speaker. Do the cruises, Europe, etc. I'll be your helper.

I splurge on kicking things up a notch. Like if I'm going to buy cheese, I get a really good cheese. I buy a little more organic.
I also had some house repairs and maintenance done (big ones). Noticing they needed to be done was a sober event.

I have done alot...I was able to send my son to summer camp AND the biggy was I take him and pick him up. My son just got contacs..very happy boy. I bought my daughter a very nice bookbag and purse to match to start school in. I could go on and on, but I won't.

Not that it is a splurge, but when I became sober I became suddenly single. I can manage this without spending on booze and the crippling effect it has in other regards.
