Hi Tawny, no I dont think I have, but the old grey matter is quite forgetful at times. I will check it out thank you. Dont watch 'Manon des Sources' till you have seen 'Jean de Florette'. It is not a sequel, more the second part of the story. Hmm he now thinks, you have probably seen Jean?

Hello Expat, great you are feeling good after yesterday, sounds like you needed a good cry and a long sleep, a release if you will. I have seen Blue, Blanc et Rouge but it was a long time ago. Widely recognised as a classic trilogy I think.

I watched '36 quai des orfevres' last week Expat and enjoyed it, probably more of a blokes film though.

Morning everyone! Thought I'd drop into the Army thread this morning

I too was not overly impressed with 'There will be blood' but I also thought Daniel Day Lewis was compelling in it. I'm loving getting into films now that I can concentrate! Watched 'Dead Man Walking' last night with Sean Penn on death row and Susan Sarandon as a nun saving his soul - don't know if anyone has seen it but I thought it was really good - the acting was brilliant.

No, I have not seen that one. Like Starts, I want to watch more movies. I don't get out much and if we rent a movie it's usually some kid friendly one. By the time the kids are in bed I'm usually ready to pass out myself:H .

Reading more and watching films is on my to do list.
But all too soon I will be back to studying again and probably wont have the time. Not complaining tho

Coming up, like a bikie?
Now I have to say I still prefer a good book to a good film and if one is made into a film I havent read I wont watch the film but track down the book instead. One of my favourite tricks was reading with a glass of wine which turned into a bottle or often more. The next day I would have to go back and re-read the last chapter or more depending on how much I had to drink. Not a chance of remembering the storyline. How sad is that, but it is in the past now.
