A yabbie is an ancient traditional Celtic stringed instrument Oney, thought to have originated in the Orkney island's around 945-1050 A.D. but more recently and commonly used in the villages of north eastern Madagascar. It is also a small centrepede like (usually) freshwater crustacean found in country dams in Australia.
