okay .... just as long as you have a contingency plan. It can all turn to shit in the blink of an eye - and it probably wont, but good to have your mate ready and waiting. Our part of the world is reacting in a very unusual manner to global warming and climate change.

Check: Candles, matches, torch, spare batteries, battery operated radio, water supplies.

And as long as you are on line, you obviously have electricity!! (not to mention internet!)

We brought her home this afternoon and she seemed to be very happy to be here. She has no use of her back legs so has to rely on dragging herself around by her front paws. We dont know whether this is temporary or permanent - but she is in no pain, which is good, and purring big time. First place she went to when she came home was the cat door and stuck her head out for fresh air!! Then around her other favourite places. Ate, slept in the sun, etc etc Wookie doesn't seem to know quite what to make of it as they usually carouse around together.

Mr B and I decided to go out for dinner at the local eaterie. Left her in the cage (about 1m x 1mx 0,5 m), with food, water, litter, blankets, favourite toys etc etc. Came back 2 hours later to discover she had got out of the cage (we still cant work out how!) , and up 14 stairs to open the door of the hot water cupboard and into one her sleeping holes. She is supposed to have complete rest and no climbing up or bouncing down! She is now ensconced in her favourite place (middle of our bed!) and I will keep her confined to the bathroom overnight until we work out how to manage this. But I sort of figure that we will go with her instincts ..... she is obviously such a staunch wee strumpet!!

Main concern at this stage is to keep making sure her essential bodily functions are working ..... with all that exercise tonight, I'm sure it will have helped :H

evening undies, bloody hell narelle.... tawn you must be pissed off.....have you inspected the damage yet!!!! its been raining its head off in tassie for a week but that nothing unusual but for a drought stricken area its horrid. i hope for your sake the wind goes away and you get some nice soft steady rain for about a week or so, just enough to sill some tanks and dams and waterways. keep us posted. not sure if the four double brandy idea is such a cracker!!!!! if you are anything like me, after the third one, the rest of the botttle would be drunk straight from the bottle and i wouldnt give a tinkers curse if the house blew down in the storm...just a thought frogstar.....Bridge, good news abaout the liver results et al, not so crash hot about the B/P...one side effect of topo is reduced appetite, weight loss and lowered blood pressure; I have had to reduce my b/p meds by 50% since begining the meds 2 weeks ago....

Yeah Mr. G. Still got the flu from hell but i managed to get out of the house and get some stuff done that i have been putting off for about two weeks, due to detoxing and feeling a bit spun out on topomax, so i am feeling a bit pleased with myself....hows yaself?

A Clown is all we are being offered... the alternative backstabber is not pretty either. I almost feel like voting for the Greens just to show my displeasure.. not much time left to ponder!

Sorry to hear about your scary night Tawny. I have to admit we've had a deluge here and I've been thinking of those poor souls in Pakistan and realising it could happen to any of us any time. Nature can be so cruel in these extremes. Hope your walls and roof are holding together and glad your animals are safe. Glad you are on high ground. I can't even drive down my driveway because of the mud today.. used to live in the country and get flooded in for 4-6 weeks every year so can imagine how locked in you're feeling.
