Got an appt for Miss Maggie - on Monday so we will deal with the leaking until then. Dear Dog. She looks so embarrassed when she gets up - but she can't help it!!

HUBS IS MOWING THE GRASS! This is a first! He has nothing to do with the garden as from last year - said he hates anything to do with it - well, guess what? He is out there now - he is off today! Wehay!!!! Just as well though - can't see me doing it anytime soon. Wonders will never cease.

Well, Paul was able to drop me off at the grocery store and I came out with $300. worth of "good food" for the kids and the weekend. Then the idiot (me!) went into the liquor store and bought tequilla and mix for son and his wife, vodka and some mixes for daughter and her boyfriend and Paul a bottle of Jack! I spent $100 on liquor and I told the guy I don't even drink! Something is very wrong with me and when and if I get through this weekend, I am going to analize myself and why I do the things I do and set myself up to drink. I gotta "fix me" or I'm not gonna make it through life sober, like I WANT SO BAD!!! I did call my new christian friend last night while stoned drunk and she said we talked for an hour and a half. THANK YOU NEW CREATION! I feel absolutely horrible that I don't remember any of it or any of her prayers for me. I am an absolute failure and I really HATE myself so bad! I know all of you are so tired of picking me up off the ground so many times! I'm sick and tired of it, too. I wish so bad I could crawl in my little hole and cry my heart out, but got house full of company that I gotta entertain and husband that still can't walk and is making constant demands on me. I know everybody has problems and doesn't drink. WHY CAN'T I BEAT THIS THING??? I will miss all of you, but hope everyone has a good weekend. I love you all so much! Please don't give up on me! Vicki - you know that none of us think of you that way - we all love you here. You don't need to apologize for anything here - nothing to do with whether we drink or not - you are cared about love, and you really will beat this - I just think that you have so much else going on it your life - you have the constant pain, and you really need to get more help for you. We will pick you up off the ground as often as you need it - you must know that. Tell Paul that his demands cannot be met - that you need some help!! And are the children going to help you? Vicki - you MUST start telling them that you cannot do it all. Hang in there Flower - we are here for you, and love you.

Vicki-I agree with Sunny-you have so much going on in your life and you are trying so hard to please everyone that you are neglecting yourself. I am guilty of that myself, so I know how that goes. After you get thru this weekend, please take some time for you. Maybe you can go away somewhere to a quiet place. Listen to the tapes, maybe read the book again. stay logged on here. Lean on us - we are here for you, for each other. You have picked me up so many times...just hearing your beautiful, southern voice always puts a smile on my face. So, enjoy your kids this weekend. Monday morning-it's all Vicki time, okay?

Well, I should go settle down. It was a long day and actually a long week for me. I'm glad tomorrow is Saturday even if it means cleaning and food shopping. Tomorrow night my granddaughter will be coming to stay with me so that is always a joy. Next week I'm going to the beach for 3 days with my daughter & granddaughter-just us girls. I'm really looking forward to that!

Grateful - so nice to see you! I do hope that you enjoy your grand daughter staying with you - that should be fun for you. I hope that Vicki listens to you - I wish she would listen to all of us and take some time for her.

I am fine thanks - the thought of going to work on Monday isn't great - I have to go in from 7-9 for a meeting that the managers have to have every Monday, then I go back later that afternoon to close - I will try and rest my foot - I am not looking forward to it though - then i am off Tuesday (regular day off). I called my Ortho to call work and reword the sick note restrictions so it didn't read NO Prolonged Walking or Standing - I am NOT going to be stuck at the register!!! No No NO. Ahem. Okay - calm down Jean Bean !! Sorry about that....

I am going to bed - is very quiet here tonight and today - hope everyone is doing so well that they didn't feel they needed to come and check in (although Ruby will be cross if you don't so you'd better anyway!!)? love and hugs to all,

My second sober Friday. Pretty good for me, considering I am lonely as hell.
Hubs will be back Sunday. He didn't call today and that hurt my feelings. So, I called him and he was kinda snippy and said "well, did I *say* I was gonna call?" Sheesh, what's a five minute phone call?
So, I feel pretty good about not drinking, since being stuck on the pity pot is a trigger for me.

Day 14 and counting!
