Hi - my daughter just left - hubs cooked her a meal (it is his day off and I don't cook meat!!) and we had a fun time. I do miss her living here. She is coming over on Sunday to visit! We might have storms tonight! Nice but I expect Mags will have me up half the night. I don't mind though - not sure I long I will have her!!

Well, I had THREE drinks last night (hangs head in shame). I was so emboldened by last week when I stopped at one, I decided to try it again when out to dinner w/ a gf.
The fuse was lit, I tell ya. I can't moderate. Period. I think I titrated down too quickly on the Bac.

So, back at Day 1, again. Crap. :upset:

I adore you all. I post all the stinky pics because I LIKE to, plus I'm having cabin withdrawals. Also hopin' to entice more of you to try to come.
Had to take off and help Hubs a while, then feed his ginormous appetite. Quit, quit, quit!! Worrying about what you all post here, or I'll start being even MORE paranoid about all the crap I put here. I've been having so much fun posting my cabin info, but it's all relative. I understand commitments, prior engagments, etc., but I was trying to entice ya'll to make a supreme effort.
I'm SO sorry, for those of you with problems, don't mean to chide you. Just that this place is a place of peace, of giving up our problems, and I want so much to share it with those I love, my Journey Buddies.

Roger, thank you so much for such a sweet post. I've never heard you so down before. Please talk to us, after all the bitching we have done, we wanna listen and encourage our wonderful leader here! Just accept the blessing Ruby is trying to offer and build her a canoe that she will cherish because YOU made it! Ruby, what do you mean you have to stay away from here for a while? You are a big part of our family! Please tell us why you feel this way. Grateful, you are so precious to me. You know how when God reaches out to help us, satan shows up and tries to disrupt everything, but we are not going to let him do that because he is already defeated! WE ARE A FAMILY WITH UNCONDITINAL LOVE! Bird, see how God always provides! Sunshine, why can't you take better care of yourself? You make me feel as if I'm talking to myself! (I think we are stubborn!) Phoenix, don't get discouraged or beat yourself up. We are all on this jouney together to GET and STAY sober! We are always here to help one another up when we stumble. 4th sober Friday is great! I'm beginning to think it's not about the numbers but the relationships you make on the journey to the finish line! (Please tell me there is a finish line? I completely understand why you would want to share your placee of peace and serenity, but it sounds like you and hubs will be completely exhausted before YOUR birthday weekend! Happy Saturday! It's going to be a great day for all of us. Roger...are you out of that hole yet? I think it would be awesome if you would build Ruby a canoe...it would mean so much to her. Who cares what the bottom looks like....what matters is that is floats, right? Phoenix...at least you figured out that moderation is not right for you....that's all that matters. Sunny-hope you are having a great lie-in and I hope the work day goes fast for you. Ruby-I love your pictures....it makes me feel peaceful looking at your cabin and your grandchildren and the stream......thank you for sharing. Biz-where have you been? Well things are slow all over T. I haven't had a gig in over a month I think. There aren't even any sub teacher jobs open. So I was up at the coffee shop last night trying to drum up a few students..hahahaha. Been runnung the kids around like crazy this week. Rubes I have one of these hand held weed whack things I can cut the weeds with. Is not a problem. Sun are you a veggie? I don't eat much meat anymore. Kinda like I drink, every now and then. Yeah Phoenix, I never could mod but have tried many many times. I wish I could scroll back pages without losing my post. Seems like there would be a way to do that. I gotta get and practice piano before the kids get up...later on

So many struggles among my loved ones here. I have the same condition Vick does, want to cure everyone else's ills without turning the spotlight on me.
I'm going to share something with ya'll, and I hope your honest with me. Before Rog started our home here, when I posted some pics (OK, you know me! :H) it was insinuated that I only put up the pics to brag. In my heart, nothing could be further from the truth. I want to share, offer anything I have, but it seems I'm not doing it right, or maybe it's just a couple of people (they're still here on MWO and still don't like me! :H) Anyway, I know I'm over the top often, but I'm actually trying to show more restraint. I love pics, and sharing things that make me happy. 'No good deed goes unpunished' has been proven to me, but the success stories of those I've helped outweigh the bad. When it's right, it's REALLY right.

Ruby-I have never thought of you as bragging. You have been blessed - just like all of us - and you have worked hard for what you have and your father and his father before him. As I said, I really do love seeing your pictures....and of course, as mothers and grandmothers, we love sharing our children and especially our grandchildren with everyone....we are so proud of them and children are so sweet and innocent and bring joy to others. Some people are just so jealous of others and what others may seem to have and they forget that they are blessed too....even if you live in a 1 room apartment or whatever - you have life and hopefully family and friends and love. In my opinion, you don't need to stop posting your pictures or sharing your stories...I personally gain so much from them. And you HAVE helped so many people. I am blessed to know you and learn from you and that is the honest truth. To me, you are a wonderful role model. That's my honest opinion, girlfriend! Love ya.

I joke about Hubs a lot, but he's MY rock, and does anything I suggest (complaining all the way!!!::H) and when it works out well it was all his idea!

We know how much you love your hubs....we all have to complain sometimes....believe you me - our hubs' are doing the same thing - but we couldn't do it without them and vice versa. And I betcha anything he says to his friends that YOU are his rock!! That's true love! And of course, it's always the man's idea when it's right!!!!
