        Hi MB, yes, I am down to 185 on the bac (from 245) and I have lost FIVE POUNDS! (And have done nothing different, so it DEFINITELY was the bac). I did have a bit of a craving last night (hubs was gone, huge trigger for me) but I just ignored it. Someone said it's like rewiring your brain, so I am going with that! Rewire away! Just because I want it doesn't mean I have to have it, right? Anyway, the cravings are NOTHING like they used to be. I actually have almost lost my taste for wine. If I ever went back to being a drunk, I 'd have to pick a different poison.

        Back to work for moi - the students are back and we are BUSY!! Plus, it's RAINING!! I am watching the radar and we have a BIG green blob heading our way, hopefully will alleviate our almost drought conditions. WOOHOO!! Hubs says I am obsessed about the green radar blobs. Hell, I'm a gardener, of course I am! Duh!

            Ruby-I watched some of the 1st one...Ricky Scaggs was so cute. I'll have to watch them all later when I am home. I would love to try some of your soup but my hubs & son are such picky eaters...maybe I can make some & share with my m-i-l...sometimes she "forgets" to eat, too, and nobody notices even though her daughter lives with her!! Sunny-thank you so much for calling Goldie...hopefully she will check in with us soon. At least she knows how much we all miss her! PR-watch out for that BIG green blob....it's sunny here right now but a lot cooler! Feels like fall.

            Biz-I thought of something else for you & Lisa (but you still need to read back, silly guy, for the other suggestions)...how about visiting some of the Amish towns up near me, for example: Intercourse (don't laugh everybody - it's a real name).

              Yes, I'm so glad someone has a contact number for Goldie. We have to keep after our MIAs. Can't be lost without a fight.
              I had a very funny co-worker who had been to Intercourse, had the hat. He LOVED to talk about going there. Personally, I love that part of the country. So sad to hear the sensationalized news about the Amish gone bad, when 99% of them are good, simple people. I'd fit right in there, as long as I had a laptop (and running water! :H)
              And YES, watch out for MIL. Sometimes we take for granted that people we've always had in our lives take care of themselves. You're a GOOD DIL.

                well good morning and well sounds like everyone is doing good .. well the test isnt till tomorrow .. so she had to go pick the stuff up today and not eat anything after 12mid .. thank you all its going to go just fine ... well enjoy and keep shifting forward ...

                  You're absolutely right about my MIL....if it wasn't for her, we wouldn't be living where we are now - right next to her on our own 2 acres. She is such a sweet person and very independent and gets upset if we fuss over her too much....but I can try to be sneaky and ask her to share some soup or something that her son won't eat. Yes-I have to do that!!

                  Alot of times I think I would love to be Amish...they seem to be such peaceful, faithful, simple people...but they are such hard workers! I don't think I would be able to live without electricity now, either.

                        Alot of times I think I would love to be Amish...they seem to be such peaceful, faithful, simple people...but they are such hard workers! I don't think I would be able to live without electricity now, either.

                          i would love to live like the amish .. but knowing me i would be builting things to make life so much easyer ..like windmill for power and water pumps and really as long as i had lots to do.. wouldnt even think about the internet and thankx ruby .. but peter pan lol
