Rog, I think it MAY be cheaper for you to ship me avocadoes, my tab, of course, than to buy all the ones I eat! :H Those last year were fabulous.
Sunny, love, I started the 'answering machine' stories, and my Granny, born in 1891 in Oklahoma territory, used to rock on her wooden settle (which I bought and have today!) and plait my hair into two pigtails. Momma would be SO mad when I came home, because she always tried so hard to be 1950's) current, up-to-date with all the current fashion trends. Woe unto us, she tried, but we were always HORRIBLY behind, to our enduring chagrin. I don't know if any of you young girls had to suffer the torments of a new 'perm'. I always minded Momma. Ended up looking like a freak. Than GOD I wasn't interest in boys , because I looked like a pretty boy with a head that had been stuck in a firepit!! :H
Sorry I've waxed nostalgic again today, but Momma was always so pretty, and managed only to make me look me look like a circus freak. It's worked out well for me. I was Momma's cross to bear; showing up for Sunday dinner in my boots (wellies) and shorts after a morning in a yard. Daddy would just smile and hug me. Momma always thought if you just 'paint your lips' before you made an appearance, you would make an impact. Lord love her, she just loved me, anyway.
Got lots of cleaning done today, and still working. A good day for me. Don't any of you take me and what I say too seriously. If I want to attack and hurt you, you'll know it. I'm just on my usual rant.
Love you all. And want you all to find yourselves, be comfortable, in the skin you have. (I keep mine softened!!)

Good morning, Rog & Ruby. Hope you both had a peaceful night's sleep. Ruby-hopefully you are eating now.....anyway, I have my Addison again..my daughter is not feeling good...she has lupus but has been off the medication since before she got pregnant with Addy...she is going today for a bunch of blood work...I hate to see her so tired and down. So, Addy is on the floor beside me with Duke & Riley (shepherd & husky) while I try to catch up on posts. I feel so bad for Vicki but I so agree with Sunny's advice about how we cannot change another person no matter how much we want to. I'll call her later when I think she might be up. Grate, yes, they're already with Hubs and I'm on my way to join them to finish work. (BTW, I noticed a LOADED down persimmon tree yesterday, so I'm searching for wild persimmon recipes. Early settlers here depended on them, but you DAS'T not eat one green! :H You'd be more puckered than Uncle Silas' sermons!!

Mama Jan is up...slept in and cuddled with pappa for a bit.....he and grant are fine...have not really talked about the wreck...just circling each other warily like two lions......I will stay our of it Rubes, but Grant comes and cries on my shoulder and then Papa bitches and complains on my shoulder...arggghhhh...but no blood drawn and amazingly quiet last night. I took Grant with me to the football game in the pouring rain...miserable BTW, and I sent Papa to the pub to see some old friends....My baby son, Clay, had an awesome game and we won 40 - 20. But tired and moving slow....

Sunni..pick the mountain top and I will meet you there.....wouldn't a weeks retreat at a spa be delightful.....peaceful music, windchimes, chanting, crickets...they would prolly only feed us lettuce but at least my back and feet would be getting rubbed...mud facials, hot lava rocks......hmmmmmmm...

Vicks...get some rest and leave that old SOB alone....pretend he is not there for a few days....knowing you you are physically unable to give him the silent treatment, but just ignore him for a few days....

Good Morning all! Nice for you to have Addison today Grateful - enjoy her - sorry about your daughter - does the medicine help when she is on it? And T - having luke too - and yes, we were up late - but oh gosh I did laugh - my tummy was hurting SO much from laughing. It did me so much good. And NO I never did check out the web site.
