Time, first, YES, insurance HAS to know what property is used for. Otherwise, should the whole house be lost to fire, tornado, etc., they can deny the entire claim. And 30 days is right about vacancy. I play with the dates a bit, but don't get crazy. Also, it is absolutely necessary to pay periodic visits to a place. Not doing that goes against you in a court case. Also, a VERY good, signed lease, and anything that shows good faith efforts on the part of the owner to keep in contact and maintain agreements.
IMHO, don't involve the insurance company. Thats a can of worms you can't close again. Going through legal channels is the only route right now, and that's long and frustrating, along with being more expense, but necessary, really. If you want anymore specific information as it applies to my experience, let me know. Unfortunately, you live and learn, and trusting sometimes is repaid with terrible consequences. You cannot do business with a handshake anymore, and I've found the perpetuators always seem to be angry at me, as though they are owed my work and property.

Everyone asleep? Walking off lunch?? True Blood isn't on yet, so that's not an option.
Had to scramble to find something to make when I got home. Mr. Picky Ass does NOT get what it's like to come in at 4:45 and try to throw a meal together. We CANNOT run to a store, there AIN'T any. SOooo, I finally made grilled chicken burritos, all the toppings, chili beans, and rice. He STILL complained. To which I replied, with much love, BITE ME.

I had quinoa, broccoli and veggie sausages !! Yum. And some chocolate!! Now need to tidy up the kitchen and I think I might have a very early night, or curl up on the sofa with a good book - although I think I might fall asleep and I would rather fall asleep in bed! It has been very quiet on here today hasn't it? wonder where everyone has been? Hope you have all had a grand day anyway.

Hi All Ruby looks like you found a good renter and yes I agree with Roger I don't miss those days!!! Ha the old side shooters and the dubble dydey would not like to go back to those days. Anyway it was just beutfull day here today just a little hot in the afternoon. Got a big bike ride in and went shoping with the wife. My Daughter was not home tonight sooooooo I got to eat meat the real thing big fat one inch NY stripe steak Pitsburg rare........ Yesssssssssssss grilled onions pepers and eggplant home made potato salad. I feel fat as a tic and ready for bed but have to make lunch for the grind in the morning. How was Addy Greatfull?? HI Ruby, Biz - Biz, nice to hear from you and to hear that you had a good day - why could you have meat seeing as your daughter wasn't there? MY day was good - very quiet, pretty lazy really. Didn't do much of anything. Finished a book I was reading. Tried to ride my bike, which probably wasn't too swift of an idea (STOP yelling Ruby), but I MISS it. As I've said recently, this is a very bittersweet, reflective, time of year for me anyway. Lots has been happening inside my head and heart recently, (no worries, please, it's just me!). I have always been a very spiritual, sensitive person, and I don't mean sensitive in a 'be careful what you say to me' way, but in the way of just seeing and feeling deeper than maybe some do. That's one of the reasons Hubs says I'm the brains, he's the brawn, in our rentals, .......shoot, in our LIFE together. Not really true; he is a VERY brilliant man (unless I'm mad at him.:H) He believes and respects my 'feelings'. (This is very hard to explain; maybe it's just I'm older and have acquired stronger skills.)
ANYHOO, I've decided I have to really focus on some changes in me, my lifestyle. Doesn't have anything to do with this site, I'm not leaving. But I will spend less time here, and more on myself, and the creative side of me that has languished for too long. And I HAVE to own my responsibility for not regaining my physical strength lost to my time in the wheel chair, and the medical condition. I HAVE to start putting up a better fight on my behalf. It's hypocritical of me to give advice, when I'm not taking it physically.
As far as the other, sentimental or whatever things, going on in my head, it's going to be tough for a while. There is an annual Arts Festival in about 10 days just down the road. It's on my ancestral land, and it's an award winning event. Tourist crawling all over everywhere in my normally quiet world, and it feels somewhat disrespectful to my ancestors, who I've really come to know. Through my own tales from my late loved ones, and my own research. It's difficult to see some preppy walk his dog to take a poo between the raised tombs of my gggrandfather and his (not at one time!) wives. To know this all the crazies came in there, markers have been stolen. I feel I'm in police mode during that long weekend.
SOOooo, if I'm a bit off for a while, forgive me. Again, the world that lives in my head is whirling right now. I'm still me, and still here. Just may be caught up in myself for a while. :hug:

Just had a nice run/walk with my little doggie Milo. I am sitting here literally dripping in sweat!! I love it though! I love to sweat, it feels great to get all the nasty crap out of your system!!

Does anyone else here like to go for walks or runs?? I try to go 3 to 4 times a week. I take my little doggie with me and I also use my IPOD loaded with some really fun upbeat music to get me in a dancy kinda mood. Its really fun!!

checking in late...typical Monday at work.....
went to Nana's last night fir fresh fried fish and limas and cheesecake....and baby boy;s birthday celebration.....
then home to watch True Blood and then go nite nite....
Ruby....we got Clay a Bowflex..used and cheap...for his birthday....i used it yesterday and am sore as hell but I had forgotten how good it feels to work out and stretch and sweat....maybe you think of something like that....I also think you should take an art class or spend some every day working on your art...I seem to remember that you paint???
I grew up taking private vocal lessons...sang in the church and school choirs...had the leads in all the school plays and musicals....sang with a band for awhile....and then i started having babies and climbing thecorporate ladder...and have lost touch with my artistic side.....I miss me!!!!!
anyway....go for it!!!
Hey everybody else.......glad to hear poor mags is doing better and vicks you sound very upbeat and happy...that makes me happy!!!!

I'm thinking we all have lost so much of our artistic selves to AL. He (yes I use the masculine) is a horrible thief. My leg, foot, ankle, will never be 'right' again, because of my drunken hide and seek in the snow, with my precious granddaughter. I have disappointed, (hell, DAMAGED, ENDANGERED!) my family. It's been a constant fight back to their respect. So yes, I'm going to involve myself more in their lives, and embrace my artistic side.
I've been selfish, but I'm going to be selfish in a different way. And I recommend it to everyone. Take care of yourselves. And be GOOD to yourselves. This doesn't mean indulging in things that we know are harmful to us. Indulging in the good things in life means indulging it what ends up making us truly happy, peaceful, with our decisions. If we're constantly battling you own demons, we're not making the right choices.
It's not as easy as that. I know. Not trying to make it a trite But it HAS to be a lifetime commitment, because this IS our life. Matyrdom, escapism, doesn't work. We are GIVEN this chance, and we don't know, exactly, what comes next.
So, again, forgive me, I'm running on and on. MB, I've gone to several painting classes, and have'nt obviously found the right one yet. Usually I find first time painters, bored housewives, social climbers. Not my cup of chili. So I search out real artists. Amazed at the ones I've found and come to know well.
Anyway, I'm outta here. Have MUCH to do. Probably will be around much less, (I can hear some sighs of relief!! :H) but you can reach me.
