Sunny, I HATED all my airboots. So painful, heavy, and clumsy. Actually liked the casts better. If you don't like Safety director, how about Director of International Relations?? :H
Believe it or not, I'm not sitting here round the clock. I check back in often, and need to do less so, because of all there is left to do! But I SO love checking in with my family here.
My dogs are absolutely loving their homemade food. Berit slept next to my side of the bed again last night. Told Hubs he could bring his duck home if he wants! We have a pool, anyway!
Now to do my dogs daily treatments for their allergies, to summer it seems. They love the attention, but it takes hours. Read a story just now about a bomb sniffing dog used in Iraq. She's going through PTSD. And she's coming back, with treatment, but they want to send her BACK, when she's recovered.
Can't understand that. No, she's not a human, but she is God's creature, and it's obvious to me she is affected too strongly to be used this way. She learns trust, and is thrust back into a harrowing environment. I can't do anything right now about how soldiers are put into the same situations, but animals are dependant on us, for their very life; food, water, shelter. If we use them, we have to respect them, be responsible for them. Animals (my dogs) have saved my life, and the life of those I love, more than once. And they provide us with such love, and comfort, unconditionally. I'm not on the PETA stand, but I do believe in ethical treatment of them. That's one reason I don't eat some meats. I can't eat veal, no matter how tasty, or lamb, without thinking of those faces. Actually, I'm quite happy with fresh veggies. On a lighter note, I have a friend with my same warped since of humor. Whenever we eat in a Chinese restaurant, he does his ventriloquist thing, and sends out 'meows' ever so often. Told him if didn't stop, I'd never have lunch with him again!!sigpic

Good morning, my dear sweet family! Sounds like everyone has theiir job description and duties. I', definetly calling in sick on my first day as garden duty, it's too dang hott! Ruby and Roger, great post! Sunshine, glad your ortho doc visit went well. Hope you will stay off of it as much as possible. I will try to call grateful and goldie today to check on them. I hope everyone is doing good. I'm not feeling too well today, but got a long lists of things to do. My sister is coming by in the morning to "inspect my countertops and floors" so I gotta work on them some more. My kids are coming this weekend for son's birthday, so lots of cooking and cleaning. Stay strong everyone. We can do this! I love you all so much! VickiI'm not what I should be, I'm not what I could be. I'm definetly not who I want to be,

Vick, again, put yourself first! Tell them all to come on, but take it as it is. You've been working too hard. Let'em order pizza. REST! Check your levels. Do what you NEED to do for you, and screw the rest! (Sorry for my French!) Being a martyr is a one-way, unappreciated, path. Take it from someone who knows. I've struggled to take a harder approach, and it truly throws them off for a bit. But it's YOU who is important, not what you do. :hug:
