This is the Chickamauga Creek. The meaning is obscure, but I prefer to believe the Creek definition, 'Meeting place of Chiefs'. Come to think of it, why do we call them 'creeks'! Every time I get down, I look at this picture, and I find peace again. Most of MY land is upstream of this, but, it doesn't matter. It was a wonderful moment in time.
My biggest beef with my property is that this stream is straight down (and I mean DOWN) from the cabin. I've climbed it, it's the short way, but I want a path that way. A dear friend, who's unable to post here anymore (because of AL BTW) told me once she went to sleep with dreams of my cabin, and I promised her a corner on the trail to the stream. When I DO make that trail, there will be a Cathy's Corner.

Yeah people get jealous and envious and say stuff. I had to quit talkin to my old friend of 30 some years cuz she just kept putting me down and making fun everytime I would send pics or tell her stuff. We still talk from time to time but I never tell her anything really. The weather and whatnot. I did not notice she was like that untill I had a good bit of AF under my belt.

Hi everyone it has been awhile but I have been busy with hand doctors. Thursday they found a lot of arthrightsus in my thumb joint and had to inject it with cortazon. Hurt like hell could not move my thumb untill this moring and not another 6 weeks of PT. Ruby your stream looks inviting to say the least.
anyone heard from vickie??? MB how are you has the BP come down I hope!! Roger how are you doing I have kept you and your family in my prayers. Tony have not seen any great posts am I missing somthing??? Imagain this I am off to a retirement party of an coworker today, man I am getting old!!!!
Anyway I need some Ideas !!! This coming Thursday will be the 19 year of the passing of out son Ryan He lived for 5 months 18 days and 9 hours. For my wife It is a big day and she wants me to plan a full day with just the two of us. Can't ride a bike but we willl weather permitting take a walk money is tight so I got to come up with somthing things. I am going to take her to lunch at a place we use to go when we were dateing after that I am lost. So if anyone has any ideas I woulk love to hear them. Got to run everyone have a safe day

Biz, find a peaceful place. Start where he is buried. Bring 3 flowers, one for her, one for your boyand one for you. You are suffering too. But you're wonderful for recognizing your wife's pain. But move on, to parks, water, anything outside. I have some losses, but not as hard as yours. This is a woman's time. I have no other words for that.

ok well im thinking of giving the canoe some tlc paint it cammo and put it out in the sun and see what happens .. it green right now so thinking of taking some leaves and well palm fo's and painting around them or going all white to refect the sun ... i have to say this has been a learning things all the way .. from resin to form and now sun light on its efects .. but everything in life worth doing is a work in progress ...

Good morning, my sweet family! I can't believe I slept 10 hours and feel great! While having coffee, hubby asked what am I doing different. I said nothing, it has to be from all the prayers I am getting! I'm not waking up in pain anymore (thank you, Jesus!) and sleep makes all the difference in my attitude! So today is going to be a great day of thanksgiving and praising God! Hubby still can't get out of his recliner because of his gout and his feet have no padding underneath so he hurts all the time. I've got to ignore him sitting cause it drives me nutz! There is so much to do! LOL! My new lesson I am struggling to learn is what don't get done today will be there undone tomorrow! LOL! We are missing quiet a bit of people around here and even Ruby is wanting to leave us and I am wondering if it is because of me. Too much preaching going on? Be honest. I don't wanna run anyopne off with my beliefs. I hope everyone has a wonderful day! I love you all, Vicki

Hey, Vicki. You are not running anybody off, you silly girl! Ruby just means that she needs to get more stuff done around the house, etc. I think....you know how we addicts are.....we get on this site and we can't get off - LOL!! And I don't think you are preaching....you are sharing you great faith and I am so thankful for your prayers. I am really, really glad that you feel better today and pain-free! See what prayer does? I hope your hubby gets better soon...sounds like he is in a lot of pain too.

Biz-I love Ruby's idea about taking 3 flowers to the cemetary. Maybe afterwards you could go to Penn's Landing....being by the water always makes me at peace. But what is most important is that you spend the entire day with her and be sensitive to her needs. When I look at Addy, I just cannot imagine what you had to go thru with Ryan......you are a strong man. Hope to see you later at the retirement party!

Trust me on this. I have bearded the beast more than once. Just my way of dealing with a a big, strong, powerful at work man. Don't mean cat poo to me. It's not about work, it's about living, with each other. Mine's not going anywhere. But it's because we love each other, and willing to give up everything else, for each other.
His Anniversary Day plan sucks. He'll pay for that, long term. But it's the overall life that means something. Means everything, really.

How did I miss a page? Biz, where have you been, my friend? I can only imagine how horrible it would be to have lost a child. You are so thoughtful. I really love Ruby's idea of the 3 flowers. Now that you are saved, why don't you read some scriptures to encourage you and your wife at the gravesite? I Corin 15:51-57 and 1 Thes 4:13 for example. Look in your concordance under death and heaven and the scriptures will encourage you both. I will be praying for you both. Love ya, Vicki
