OK, in the spirit of full disclosure, I'm going to make an admission that will get me chastised (Bubba!), but be nice! It's 7:35 and I forgot to eat today. Now, don't jump to hard, I making a nice tomato and basil soup, and a grilled cheese, lettuce, and cajun turkey sandwich for us now, so no one dies, OK. I was BUSY, alright!! (Or I was asleep.)

Also, check out local, low cost vendors, and find some special little thing (a couple of $$ is fine) to give her to commemorate the date. It's those tiny, heartfelt, touches that matter.

Biz - I loved ruby's idea - why are you asking for more? My hubs surprised me with a bunch of daisies - I had no idea he had ever ever listened when i told him they were my favourite flower - every other time he gave me flowers, I had just got an assorted bunch - but this one time I really needed a special something, I got....a bunch of daisies. It was the best gift he ever could have given me. It meant he had listened!!!!!! Do SIMPLE. Do HEARTFELT. Do GENTLE. That is all I can offer. Hold hands - T suggests sex - doesn't mean the same in the situation you will be in - maybe not the best idea. Maybe it is - I don't know. Only you know. It is like when you rehearse something that you are going to say to someone then when you actually see them, all these different words pour out. Biz - you cannot use stuff from us - you have to use what comes from your heart. Take Ruby's idea with the flowers. Go to the grave. Go for a walk. Sit and talk. Hold hands. Just BE together. Remember Ryan together - maybe get a nice picture of him and have it in a nice frame - or just have it in a smaller copy and have it in your pocket to pull out. Sorry I can't give you more.

Vicki - I loved the picture that you put on that said that we are the type of friends that don't know why we start laughing, so we laugh harder - I have two such good friends and that is SO true!!

Re the gay conversation - I work with two gay guys at work - and I love them to death - I think for a woman, gay guys are the neatest friends!! We have such a laugh! I had two mastectomies and I had two new prosthesis (this may be too much info for you all so sorry!!) and when they were pushed on, they made a rude noise - well, I thought this was great fun - and of course went round and showed all the women -and the two guys! They were all but rolling on the floor laughing - wouldn't have dreamed of showing the straight guys!!!!! Ahem - back to more 'proper' conversation!

Well - what can one say after that???

Hope Sue finds out what is wrong Rog - I would HATE to have to drink that stuff - I have so far in my life managed to avoid it - each year I go to the doc and he says "Don't you think we should do this?" and I say - "Maybe next year". I need to go away - I can't seem to get away from bodily topics. LOL

Ohhh, been talking to my sis (for the first time in months!) for hours. She's worried about her retirement, and wants to sell her portion of our co-owned lands, and I told her to get a legitimate appraisal, and we'll do business. We actually talked frankly about how our brother will screw us if he gets a chance, financially, and I told her, if it's fair to her and me, I'm in. And to never worry about a roof over her head. She's made some bad choices, has no one to help her, and unfortunately, our brother WILL take advantage. He can't seem to help himself. I told her this was Daddy's worst fear, and she understood. As I said, I won't let her get taken advantage of, because I love her. And I can still whip brother's butt, for all his stingy, conniving ways. She's getting older, and getting worried. But I'm always here for her.
Sorry to be such a downer. But this has been a big issue ever since Daddy died, and before. And my sis has been screwed over once before by him, with no apologies. I'd love to buy her out, but only in fairness. URRRGgggghh! I'm SO pissed off!!!
OK, back to real life. Biz, whatever you do from the heart, is the right thing. Ryan was YOUR child too. And to really share your feelings will do her a world of good. I don't know the particulars of what happened, but it doesn't matter. Losing a child is a horrific scenario, and for a Mother, especially, is haunting. This does not negate YOUR feelings. So, share. Just do some small gestures, like the flowers I mentioned, or whatever you feel is right. At any rate, you and your wife will be in my prayers that day.
It's really late for me, but the convo with my sis was a good one. And I finished with 'I love you', and that's always so fulfilling, special. She's a good, unlucky, person, and I DO love her. Hubs does too.
I love you all too. I too have trouble explaining how important you all are to me, to others. Tony, I'm gonna have to come find you, sugar. You are VERY missed.
