Hi Everybody,
Just checking in to say a quick HELLOOOOOOOO!!!! to all my friends here. I'm doing training for some hourly employees in a manufacturing facility in Montgomery, AL this week and it is 103 degrees here now so it is 123 degrees on the shop floor where I'm training. I'm so attractive with make-up running down my face. I plan on being in the pool after work.

Hey I would do great being amish except for that dress. My kids saw that episode with bird is the word. Also I have heard about bird in the hand from some beverly lewis books I read. Rusty I know how you feel it is so hot lately down here. Seems it will never end I spend alot of time outdoors and am kinda used to it but the gnats...well. Having a helluva time getting motivated today. Been to library and grocery. Did not ride bike. Will have to go in eve again. Well hope that test goes well t. And Mb goin to b&n maybe. Well I might go ride bike I'm feeling awfully antsy here. laterComment

An Amish drive by shooting!
Pan, cannot picture you in Amish dress!!! We have a lot of Mennonites around the cabin. I buy produce from them, and they have a scrumptious bakery nearby.
Rus, yes! It's hot as Hades in Montgomery. We stayed in the Hotel right in front of the old Union station train depot. My FIL used to drive a cab there, carried Hank Williams all over the countryside looking for liquor stills.
Have you seen the building with the pink 'casket' on top? I loved sightseeing in Montgomery. But be careful where you are after dark. The capital building is beautiful, and so is Old Town, where they rescued a lot of old houses, moved them in, and restored them.
As we were leaving, on the 4-lane going north, we stopped at an antique shop and bought a lovely little stained glass window, which is now on our cabin stair landing. (we were building the cabin at the time, and I called our construction supervisor and told him I needed him to cut a hole in the outside wall! :H)sigpic
