OI, Wow!! I won't even ASK which of us are the 'favorite' people!! :H You are so welcome to join us anytime, all the time. (BTW, I luuuurve Minnie too!)
We make not be as quick, sassy, urbane, as some other threads, but we make up for it in dedication, to our goal, and our family here. I just realized; in my 2 years (this month) here, this thread T (you'll have to learn our code - T is tlrgs, or Roger (or Rog)) sorry I'm confusing!! this is the only place I've really felt FAMILY, and what it means to me. People care, and we're all so different, but alike.
Hey! You're not to far to make the cabin!! Dang, think I need to run a bus to pick people up! All good.
I DO know the history of this house. It was built around 1830, by a very prominent family in the city, who had a son who was a drunkard (how the circle goes round!!). This was actually the edge of the wilderness at the time, so they built him a fine house, brought him out here where he could no longer embarrass them easily. I know little about his time here. Around 1900, another family bought the house, and lived here while they raised 5 children. I knew those children well, one was my teacher, and they were an odd bunch. I finally bought the house from the youngest son, and moved it a few miles to my property.
The stuff that happened started as soon as we bought it, before Daddy moved it. (too be continued in the bestseller by RubyWillow) :H
