    hi peeps.....i have been running my bootie off all day and just sat down.....#2 son turned 15 this week and we promised to redecorate his room....so.....we have been looking at paint and fabric and pillows and all that stuff....his room is too "baby" according to him....I HATE shopping when I have no money, but we found some neat stuff. I think he wants a Pimp/Rock Start room....tiger bedspread.....papa will be hanging sheet metal on one wall..we will mount his three electric guitars to the wall..should be pretty cool...ok gotta get dinner on the table....will check in in a few..
    I love my family more than alcohol.:h

      Well I made my way to the DAV (Disabled American Vets.) Help Wagon today. They had it over at the Annapolis Harley Davidson Store. ( Why their....I don't know.......quess most Vietnam Vets are bikers too ! Ha!) I went down their to see about a job. They have me sign up to go to back to school...! Ha! The'll pay me too.......well this is if the VA goes for it. Will see. It's been a real interesting day meeting old Vets and shooting the breeze.....Anyway the Ravens are playing tonight !! Just going to sit back and watch......them stomp the Giants....Howdy Rubes...and all you gear shifters....Tony

        hey T!!! Go Ravens....good luck with the job...did u do your sleep apnea test yet??
        Over It..hope sweetie pie gets good news.....keep taking the darn antabuse for 6 months if that;s what it takes...maybe i will get some.......just to support you...and get me sober longer than a week at a time...
        vicks..I am glad u rested...no need to run around like the tasmanian devil all day..
        Papa has been quiet about #1 son's car wreck.....i think he is honestly overwhelmed and tired....too tired to bitch..but son, Grant, is devestated and feels so bad about himself....I am spending lots of time with him, cause teenagers can be so dramatic and irrational....he is holed up in his room right now

          Everyone seems to have so many irons in the fire. I hope all works out the way it should for the people I care about here, namely everyone.
          Let's all take a step back from hostile, hurtful thoughts. None of us know what is really in someone else's heart, or what trauma they have dealt with. Sometimes it's like a mule eating a briar bush. We have to remember a prickly outside sometimes masks a tender inside, one that's had it's own struggles and pain. Not everyone has had the background, the beliefs, the outlook each of us have. Sometimes, the best intentions lead, you're right, to the bad, hot place.
          I don't have the time left in my life, or the strength and stamina, to waste it on stuff that doesn't matter. People here like me. People here dispise me. So what! I'm too big, old, and tough to eat, so what, me worry??? I'm not running for Miss Congeniality! (If elected, tho, I WILL serve!) :H
          Had a cold call from someone wanting the house I just rented, told him about the one next door I haven't even advertised yet, and at 7 PM he wanted to bring money to get it. SNAP!! Told him I don't do things thata way, and am meeting him tomorrow to talk and let him fill out an app. His wife is preggers too, like the woman I just rented to next door, and her grandfather is the preacher at a beautiful, nearby church. He's studying to be an associate pastor there. Good things for him. The only thing I worry about is he already has 3 little boys!! YOUCH!! But they're a blessing, I'm sure, and that's why we have deposits. :H The guy from the first house was so worried he might lose it he's already given me a cash deposit till 9/15 when they move in. He's a real sweetheart, and so is she. I'm hopeful here, but being super vigiliant in my paperwork and prep. He's already a bit afraid of me, as he should be, but told me he can tell we're good people.
          ANYHOO, still things to do. Went out for dinner, but foot and leg bothering me a bit, so Hubs pulled up close to all the doors to let me out. Bought a nice long rack of hooks to put by the door for his endless hat collection, and all the paint to finish out the interior. Making a color change in the bland kitchen.
          Sorry, chasing rabbits here again. Take care, don't mind my preaching and soapbox!! I just REALLY don't need drama any more than ya'll do. And our energies have SO much better outlets.

                  Oh, Twisted Tony, I LUUUUURRRVVVE you!

                  OK, one thing that DOES burn my butt (besides a tall fire) is people abusing handicapped parking spaces. I have a permit, but we rarely use it, unless I'm alone, and it's a bad day, and I have a lot to load. I know people who will 'borrow' their relatives permits to get good spaces. Makes me FUME!! A couple of years ago, a sweet guy here sent me this pic of an actual sign. LOVE it! (warning, bad words!!)

                    When I broke my foot, I had a couple of folk who suggested I got a temporary disabled sticker - I laughed at them and said I didn't need it and could get from a regular parking spot on my crutches quite well thank you !!!! off to bed folks!!                       Ain't it the truth, Sun. I hobbled into WalMart, passed a perfectly healthy woman getting a riding buggy to do her shopping. She commented 'don't you want one of these too?' and I fired back as I kept hobbling 'No, I'll leave those for the people who need them.' I could lean on my buggy and get what I need to do done. I can't tell you the times I REALLY struggled to get somewhere during that time, because I didn't like to ask anyone for help. (Had a knee crutch run away from me (with me) once. Two strangers had to come rescue me.) And this was at a doctor's office. Hubs was so mad/humiliated/concerned, when he found out. Last time I got to go out alone.

                        GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! Gosh I am up too early, but I need to get an estimate done (I make draperies for an interior designer in my spare time!!!) and have lots of other stuff planned for my day off. Ugh I am tired though. Need to phone my mum too - I always phone her on a Sunday.

                        Hope everyone is feeling good and raring to go this morning - it is a balmy 70 out (at the moment LOL),

                        Dear old Mags got some new tablets to help her her embarrassing lady problem and it looks as if they did help her - no wet patches on the carpet where she was sleeping YEAH. So everything in the garden is good.

                        I am off to start on the estimate - don't feel like doing it but will do it first and get it done with. Talk later all - love and hugs to all,

                            Mama Bear, my friend went to see Joel Osteen in Orlando five years ago and was transformed by his presence. She had been a fallen away Catholic for years and then went to a nondenominational church was baptized the next week!
