    Tutankhamun has left his pyramid

Tut, if anxiety is one of the reasons why you drink then the bac will help the first day. It's THE best thing I have ever found to combat anxiety. Hoping it comes soon. When did you order it and from whom?
Go before that fire there, at the altar of your heart
That fire of who you really are and be consumed by it fully
Surrender everything into the fire of that love until you are one with that love. You ARE that love.

Tut, as a substance abuse researcher (how's that for irony?), I can tell you the panic and anxiety are physiologic symptoms, and awful as they feel, they just mean you're winning round 1--an AL is pissed. Sure it's cute, but what lousy company, never complimenting the cooking or even saying thank you, or good morning, or "enough about me, how are you today?" Tell it, firmly, "I'll get my dopamine the old fashioned way, thanks." Then shut the door in its face. AL is a neurotoxin that lies to get what it wants--your health, relationships, career, and self-respect.

      F that.

You're not alone; each and every one of us here has felt this. And we're all out here, flesh and blood and guilt and mistakes and hope, tapping away in the direction of life.

Some inspiration for the tougher moments:

        Tutankhamun has left his pyramid

        Hi
Still free. I'm going to turn into a pie the amount I'm eating. I'm not hungry, it just gives me something to do.
I've ton a load of half decent writing and other stuff.
I'm on my own here, and I need a bit of company.
I'm gona risk going to my local bar and chat with the people in there. If I can do that on soft drinks then I'm ahead of my game. I think I can. I need some stimulus more than I need a drink.
        I'll let you know.
I got lots of pm's advising both Online pharmacy and goldpharma.
For no reason in particular, I went for Online. It's about 3 or 4 days now, I think.

I wouldnt risk it Tut, if you have to go out why not go to a coffee shop with a good book or a walk in the summers evening, a trip to the local gym or a swim, maybe the movies? There are loads of other things to be doing. Going to a bar really sounds like it you are tormenting yourself. In regard to the eating is is probably sugar cravings, are you taking L-glutamine to help? I find drinking loads of water fills me up plus the act of drinking long cold drinks helps to fool my brain a bit I think. Not that it would need much to do that.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

                  I'm back now.
                  You'd be proud.
I live in a quiet rural community. Coffee bars - no chance!!
I went to my local bar, met up with my three usual drinking buddies. And I told a little white lie that I was having to stop drinking for a while before I had an operation.
As I walked in, my usual totally huge scotch whisky had been already poured. I thanked them, and then didn't drink it all night. Do yhou know, they didn't notice. I kept getting diet cokes and pretending to tip them in the whisky.
                  Unbelievable. They never noticed.
And I feel great. My teeth are rotting from my gums with all that cola, but my liver says hello for the first time in a long while.

Isn't that amazing? It looms so large for us, yet know one really cares what we are or aren't drinking if we don't make an issue of it. Good for you! I hope the company was soothing.

That's great Tut. Really GREAT actually. To get me away from favorite scotch would require a valium drip. Well done!

                          Yep!!
They didn't even notice that I poured a tiny bit of cola in the whiskey and then drank the cola. So long as I bought my round in turn, they never noticed. I just kept asking for another cola to 'put in my whiskey' and they never noticed.
The more pissed they got, the better I felt. Looking at what my normal night might've been.
                          It was incredibly affirming, actually.
I'm sure that I'm going to have lots of problems, but it was a real eye opener.
Back home on my own, I feel a bit grim. But there's nothing to drink.
Kind of wish I'd just got that one large whiskey right now.
                          Off to bed soon.
                          Thank you so much everyone.
