oney, sciatica is a problem that comes from a nerve that runs down the back of your leg. It's usually from the lumbar-sacral area and a chiropractor may be able to fix it. Wonder do they have chiropractors there. You'd think so, huh?

Jan, if you lie on your back with your thighs at 90 degrees to your spine and your calves parallel to your spine propped on cushions or such or you could lie with your butt towards the couch and your calves restinging on the seat of it(like you were sitting in a chair, but you're lying down) - you may get some relief that way. And you can use ice on it as pain relief.
you can also do this lying on your side with pillows between your knees so your legs are shoulder width apart. Still in the shape of sitting but lying on your side.

Is there such a thing as intrusion on a public forum??? :H:H
Problem is that MDs - I don't know what kind of specialist she went to but prolly not a chiro since they don't prescribe meds - don't know how to go about fixing that sort of structural issue. All they really know is pills and surgery. You would HOPE that they would make a referral,,,,but sometimes they view chiropractors and alternative health methods as intrusions into their pocketbook, erm I mean territory.sigpic
