    Lightbulb Moment

For many of us, I believe we have a similar.... devil may care, rebellious attitude towards not only authority but rules, norms and more commonly mass general (lemming) believes. We fight and fight not only with others, but with "the establishment" "the rules", "the underlying falsities that we know are incorrect and even though some of us may actually be introverted and introspected, we still fight in our own way. It is our little war against the world. I know...sounds very teenageish...but then again, when most of us started drinking it was probably when we were teenagers, and you know they say that when you start "using"....you stop maturing. So...

Well, back to the lightbulb moment...and the point is that we spend all that time fighting and drinking and fighting and drinking until everyone knows us as "the drunk" or the one that always "drinks to much" or that has so many bad things happened to us...oh boy....all that pity! Then all of a sudden guess what, something snaps in you and YOU... being the REBEL that you are, know now that you have to prove them WRONG that you are NOT the DRUNK, that you have NOT reached ROCK BOTTOM, because that is who you are....you went from one extreme to the other.

Call it (rebel, antagonist, dissenter, independent, individualist, malcontent, or nononformist) most of us have experience some of these feelings. It's not bad to think outside of the box...to be an individual! Embrace it!

Everything I need is within me!

It's funny that we can use our own character traits in opposite ways. You can always turn what might be construed as a negative trait into a positive. Stubbornness into determination and the like.

      Interesting point Brightlite - thanks.
