oops-sorry Cavistons. Starters ARE NOT at 20 euro but 10 and up. Main courses are 20 and up. Still too expensive for me -not to mention the desserts!!! Can you imagine a meal for three!!!

Xpat, when were there Subway made a forune out of us. I went down with a stinking cold on the 3rd day so we saved a bit on not going out. Some of the restaurants have a set menu like in Paris though.

There were plenty of places charging 20+ for starters during the boom and getting it. At least you wouldnt have a couple of bottles of vino to top up the bill, if you went there now.

Funny thing, I only noticed how much cheaper it is to eat out theses days because I am not ordering wine, almost half the price. Not that I get to eat out very often, I hasten to add.

aaaaaaah the days when the booze bill came to more than the food bill. I nearly fainted the other week cos I treated myself to some proper sparkling water. ? 3.50 a bottle.
