Think I've done all I can do at the mo. A 12volt bilge pump, driven by car battery is sucking water out of the overflowing pond and away from the Froghouse. Spare battery charged and at the ready. An electric transfer pump is sucking water out of two house tanks utilising Archimedean upthrust and a handy Y-joiner, into the bigger storage tank. I've mopped. Can't do anything about the soaked and squelching rugs for now. Haven't let the chooks out today and wont. Sorry, girls. There's some strong winds blowing now.

I'd kill for a Dial-a-Pizza.

Think I'll pop across to Mr.G's itreallyisallaboutmetoday.com forum. Apologies for my self-indulgence but coming back inside and sitting here talking to youse lot seems to keep me quite calm. Ridiculous, isn't it?

Well i am peeeeved. Just got back from the shop and they don't sell proper candles any more. I had to buy a box of 50 fancy scented tealights. Oh well, I guess we'll smell nice and we're less likely to catch fire although I'm not sure we'll be able to see anything if we have a blackout
