There's a pretty funny Kiwi called Dida too - he/she seems to only post jokes but they're good ones.

So .... drum roll ... my walls are repainted, my floor is steam-cleaned and I was even going to wash the windows but they tell me it's going to bucket down again tomorrow. Amazing how a good flood coursing through your house precipitates a jolly damn fine spring clean. I am a pillar of virtue.

Yep you must be feeling pretty self righteous by now.
All I can see as I cast my vision around is a buttload of dog hair....
But guess what ?
My post menopausal chickens are so happy in their new house, that someone is LAYING again ????!!!!
We don't know whether it's Schapelle or Mercedes. I don't care as long as there are no boogie board bags involved.

2 eggs per day on average. Don't know if I need to get more yet...depends if it keeps up... I think it's hilarious they've come out of retirement.

Where I come form it's VERY weird not to drink. I use the antibiotic excuse a bit, but it's wearing thin. They must be wondering what the HELL I've got.

yes please! I'm liking my low carb, low sugar thing generally (particularly as there is now enough weight loss for people to notice!), but having some big probs with maintaining energy at particular times of day.

Hard to tell as I am relying on radio reports and the people I know who all live inner city (its bad there from what I can work out). Had a PM from Zeppie who said she had been into Chch yesterday in parts where there was no obvious damage. 6pm news said that most places had power back, but water is still a problem in some places.

Which reminds me .... Betty is doing just beautifully! She is a bit bored, as she has to be kept inside until stitches are out (this Saturday). She is itching to get outside and kill baby birds I think, so for the sake of the native bird population its just as well as she is confined!! But she is recovering her sense of humour and adventurous spirit, and Wookie appears to now understand that she cant play like she used to, but that she isn't a complete cot case.

Have just made KTABs salmon and leek pie ....... is smelling yummy and I am off to eat it. Thanks to KTAB if you pop in before i get a chance to send you a PM!

you all sound so nice and friendly on here, dont worry about the outburst, we all get them. I do feel pleased with myself now, but I can tell you I was feeling real flat today a while, untill I came on here and was given words of encouragement, that gave me a boost.
