    Underoos and Friends - September

Otherwise, they couldn't sell the eBooks.

    These are no dummies.

    And, they have free books!!

I am looking at those as we speak. They do not require I have a Kindle or iPad, either.

There are some incredible free books out there.

Nah Cindi - my point is ... we pay approx $30 per paperback. $US and $AU are comparable at the moment. If I read three novels per week I'm up for close to $100. I can't (or refuse) to do that.

        OMG, Tawny!!

I pay approximately $7.00 per book.

If I had to pay as much as you do, hubby would be screaming all over the map.
        Seriously.

        What an addiction. Eh?

Even at what I pay, it is significant.

I wish I could use the local library. But I can't because of my travels. Who knows when I could get the books back? (and if I read them in the tub, which I do, who knows what shape they would be in?)

I read approsimately 2 to 3 books a week. In my case that is about $21.00 US.

I can't imagine having to pay what you do. I would be Jonesing and going through withdrawals. It would hurt. Seriously hurt.

I would refuse to do that, too. Highway robbery is what it is.

Like I said, "I pay ~$7.00" per book. At most $9.99 (read that $10.00 per book.)

Why in hell are you paying so much more foir a book?

          That sucks big time.

          Hi, Reggie!!

          Love,

            Morning Undies,

Cinders, I buy all my books at the thrift store, they have all the latest titles (I reckon peeps around here buy the latest title, read it and send it to the thrift shop).
They sell them 3 for a Euro, hence I have about 40 in my bookcase waiting to be read. I go every few days as they are always getting new ones in, cannot remember the last time I went to a bookstore and paid full whack.

That is madness Tawny.....we should set up a book swap here on MWO...it would cost a lot less...

                Oney,

I can't go to thrift store. They are not open on weekends where I live and to be honest, if they were hubby would throw a fit because he wants me to be "with him" on the weekends. Not perusing books at a thrift store. I would love to do that, though.

Perhaps I can find one in Chicago?

Seriously, I am all over the place.

A Kimdle is the best option for me. I may be here, there, everywhere. (Well, except overseas because I told my company I WILL be home over weekends. )

I think a Kindle is a good buy for me but having a hard time laying down the bucks.

                I am cheap.

There is a very big recycling center a few miles from me and I have brought boxes of books into there. They have bookshelves set up and people put their used books on them and take a couple if they want. Great idea and costs nothing

                          Evening all,

Spring is being very, very, chikky here in Thessaloniki's sister city. But all is well in these part's.
Wishing everyone a safe, sober, and happy night.

                                G'day Reg!

Your bac post makes sense to me, even though i haven't taken bac, or the other med's. I think we've got to bite the bullet at some stage, and simply say NO, and decide to leave the booze, and associated trauma behind. No but's, no um's or ah's, just NO more, go with yer plan, and onward and upward. Is this easy? NO!, but it will get easier once we make the choice. There are NO negatives in being sober. There is NO whinging, trivia is left to fall by the wayside as we go forth proudly with far bigger fesh to fry. Scary? YES!, but not as scary as the day to day, minute to minute life of an anxiety ridden, depressed, self centred addict, who loves drinking more, and respect's their local bottleshop's more, than themselves, or anyone else.
