*** NEWSFLASH ***

Just got a postcard. That hasn't happened in years. A real postcard, hand-written, with a stamp on it and all! It's got a fantastic photo of a leopard on the front and it reads:

"Woo-woo-woo - saw one of these eating a dead gazelle up a tree - got a great shot of it coming down the tree to the ground. This is Day 1 in Serengeti and have seen elephant, leopard, lion, hippos, hyenas, gazelle - amazing! Much of the terrain is like the Nullabor - flat, dead grass, stunted trees. Yesterday went on walking tour of local village - had lunch cooked by villagers - part of a community project for self help. Tell Bridge weeds abound here. Having a great time. Rags."

What a buzz, eh?

No idyllic sunshine here, just started drizzling again. Had such a good run this morning. Figured the only thing to stop the armies hurting was to do it again so I sawed up another heap of limbs with the bow saw and carted all the tops to a pyre which I'll burn when they dry out a bit and before fire restrictions start. Hopefully tomorrow I can use the chainsaw with the electric string and get the bigger stuff which will leave the really big stuff for which of course I'll have to employ some muscle.

The Froghouse floor is finally drying out. Had a BLT for lunch. Missy Chook bit me. Haven't been nubile since the old King died.

Gday undies,

Have been off never-never land for the last few days. Had some major sideffects with the Topamax. Had to give it the old heave-ho!!! Bridge I got my doc to prescribe it - no problems, I still think it would be option for a lot of folk - just not moi!!! Saffy tells me that if I ever go around in such a muddle, the shame of it would send her straight over the LIve with Olive....anyway Its back to the drawing board. You all sound really well and productive. I'll drop back in later. orf to cook tea..boring old mashed spuds and chicken brerasts
