    Underoos and Friends - September

Morning all, back, back.....move back please..........

Aspy, best wishes with the AA meeting. I went to my 3rd one in 2 years on friday, and am considering going again semi-regularly, which might work for my personal journey best.
You will be welcomed with open arm's, and not judged. I find the meetings very interesting, humbling, and grounding. Sort of keep's my mind on the 'job'. Let us know how it goes, can you?

Waves, how are you dude? Don't forget yer parachute!

Where the feck is spring in Melbourne?!

A marvellous, happy, safe and sober day to everyone.

Morning the most venerable of venerablest Geester,

Youve had quite a ride (pardon pun) with your hidden genius being released into cyber-space. Do you have a time frame set out for your first album release? I am assuming it would be your first album. I sincerely hope that this is a goal for you...I come from a muso family, goes back two generations, so much talent......mainly dabblers and family entertainers......but amongst that mix of about 14...there are six standouts that seem to have the X factor......the ability to convey to the audience a deeply emotional experience whether the song is happy, sad, angry etc. and leave them something deeply embued. Three of them are my sons(two have their own bands and one improvisors and makes CDs to give away. The one that comes to mind when I hear your stuff is my younger brother. Such unbelievable talent........but has spent the last ten years fighting depression. He put his guitar away for about five years and it has only just started to come back out again. No confidence in his obvious talent......The point is that I see that in you and am hoping that if it your desire...that you follow it through and get your music out there......behind you all the way my friend

          Thank's Saph.

This is my 3rd album i've been in the middle of for the last 12 ish year's! :H
Although, the delay has been no laughing matter really, as this last decade or so, i've been totally in the abyss, and doing the absolute barest minimum to mix with society. Depression was one byproduct of excessive al abuse, and self destruction, so consequently, whislt i still played music from time to time, i neglected to make it, and do something with it, i.e. record and share/tour with it. Now, i'm sober, positive, back from the abyss big time, loving it, and doing it. So much to catch up on, and so much music to put out. Great new's your bro has picked up the guitar again. I am very shy of performing my music in public. I can do it, but it is very daunting, but also exhilerating. I know how easy it is to not make, share our music or art/selves, for fear of rejection, or ridicule.
One benefit, if there is one, of my drinking day's, was that i learnt to not know shame. I find this art a useful thing to carry with me now, as well as no fear of appearing the fool. Fool sometimes, is good, not that i have much choice in the matter. You're kid's sound very healthy Saph. You must be a great mum for them to flourish as they seem to be.

          Bravo!

                AA was good.
Felt awkward the whole time, but it should at first i think. was welcomed and enjoyed a chat with a few art the end. as it was my first time some of the older heads told their story, was astounded and humbled.
                will be going back.

Good onya Aspy. I am gld that it was a positive experience for you. Feeling awkward ina room full of people that you have just met is quite normal for most people including me who has been doing public speaking for over 15 years!! HOpe you have a great and wonderous day

Ah what a pleasant ache is the one that you get through working in the soil and sun (dynamic lifter, other roolly stinky stuff)

The owners of this house should be stoked when they finally come back. My housemate, the boy and I have transformed a drab, dysfunctional back yard into a productive permacultural oasis.
                    Sigh.
                    Life is good folks.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

                      Good on you little mate.
This is the fight of and for our life. Whatever works, we do it.

I bet there were some sad stories Aspy.
I often think about exactly how pear shaped things could have gotten.
There, but for the grace of God, go I.

Aspy, glad you found the meeting helpful.

Shas - always good to see you! Glad that you are out of your black pit - not a good place to be. It sucks big time.

Beagle :l for your time away. I so much admire anyone that can ride - I've been on a horse exactly three times in my life and unceremoniously fell off every time. I have relegated horse riding along with bungee jumping as things that are not necessities in my life.

I have never been a groupie (far too introverted!) but I have downloaded those songs to my i-pod Mr G. (Hope you dont have royalty rights on them yet!!! :H). Actually it is really special listening to songs sung by people you "know" about other people you "know". Even when you dont really know them ......

Yum cha was yum (and I took Aspy's advice and ad pork and sea food rather than chicken!!), but the award-winning Argentinian movie that my friend wanted to see afterward (murder, rape, pillage, unlawful detention, fascist dictator government, corruption etc etc) wasn't really my cup of tea!! Think a dose of Morse or Midsomer Murders might have to be the anti-dote tonight.
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Aspy - what stokes me is ... you've been deadly serious about this shit since Day 1 and you haven't faltered once. And you continue to put fuel in the reserve tank, just in case... Your kids are so going to love you for everything you're doing.

Bridge - I'm still waiting for some sun so decided to rest the armies properly. I've realised that there are some jobbies, (chainsawing and welding in particular) where I actually forget to breathe and clench everything that's clenchable. So today I'm adding sore stomach muscles to my list of oweys. Hmmm - having a problem with ouwies - bloody spellchecker doesn't like any of them ...

Saffy, Shas, Beagle, Missy, MrG (erm - could you pop down to Make-up for a touch up) and everybody else who's graced our thread today ... goodonyabloodyrippercobberbonzamate and other such anachronistic ockerisms.

Sorry Missy - x-posted: I'm glad you didn't have the chicken feet. Chicken lips I'm fine with but NOT their feet.

I set you a challenge my friends.
We have a chicken to name.
The first one is not negotiable. Her name will be Athena after the Greek Goddess, and named for the old girl, TawnyFroglet. See below link

But what about our other girl ?
I prefer Goddess names. So fitting for a lady.

                            Come on Chundies. Go mad.
