I'm up, I think. The last week has been a blur of activity; little Ry was SO proud to have his Mimzy and Poppa at grandparent's day at school. We left our little BMW for daughter to drive to the Fireman's Ball Saturday night, and we ended up having terrible thunderstorms. Only when she was almost home did she realize she had left all her house keys in her van, which was at our cabin, and she had to turn around and drive 20 miles to hubby's fire station to get his keys, in the pouring rain. I sat up till after midnight to be sure she got home alright. But Sunday was bright and beautiful, a real early fall day, so they put the top down on the car to drive up, get the kids, and swap cars. I'm going back a week from Thursday to stay with the kids while daughter and SIL go on a trip. It will take that long for me to get over the last trip!
I never want to rent 3 houses at once again!! They're driving me NUTZ!!! Still have finishing up work to do in all of them, and I haven't even begun to unpack yet.
Sorry I can't speak to each of you, I'm still reading back. MB, my job was interviewing and hiring all the people at a 200+ employee plant. Whatever you do, do not be negative, about anything. Upbeat, without being frivolous; interested, involved, make direct eye contact, point out how your past experience will be helpful to them. The killer for me was when someone said they quit their last job to look for a better one - but you don't have that problem. NEVER say bad things about a former job or employer. And relax. This really isn't life or death; a sense of calm goes a long way in a good interviewer's eyes. And, as soon as you get home, write her a Thank You note for the interview. It's a tough job market out there you know, so make yourself memorable! You're gonna ace this, girl!

Oh Tony - I am SO glad I didn't see that before I went!! It went very well actually - it was just a consult and I had some good news - it is going to cost less than half what I had originally thought!! That picture is just awful!! You crack me up!

Panno - loved your picture too - very cute - maybe I should check out Photobucket or do you think that that would be more than this thread could handle? LOL And thanks for the vote of confidence too - I will beat this - eventually. It just looks like the road is a little longer than I had planned, but I will get there. Never ever give up!! Panno - you are 6 hours ahead of me if that helps you work it out any? And the others might be one hour either side of me. So right now it is around 9.00 am my time, 3.00pm yours.

Grateful - I am feeling much better this morning thank you - you are such a sweetie. thanks for your support too.

Jan - that goes for you too - I will PM you my number, I don't think we have got each others numbers. I am so excited for you with your interview today - I will be thinking of you this afternoon and sending SO many positive waves to you.

Vicki - I am doing fine really - and you need to take it a bit easier or you are going to end up poorly. Please take care of yourself won't you. we all love you here and worry about you.

So Ruby - when are you going to come and catch up then? And T - any more work in the picture? I do hope so. You deserve it with all the effort that you have put in to finding it.

I need to go and tidy up my kitchen - and I have a huge stack of paperwork to go through to - UGH! Back later people.

We have this pair of HUGE black crows which have claimed our back yard, the little fenced area in the back which is part of the dog's yard. They actually walk back and forth out there and DEFY me to come in there! The dogs have given up chasing them, since they always come back, seeming to laugh at them. They raided the fig tree, chided us when we picked the figs, squawk at every move we make! One sits in one tree, the other one close by, and chatter everytime I go out. Time for me to reclaim my yard, I think. It's crazy how smart they seem to be!
I've had half-dozen calls already from renters, off now to meet two of them. DANG! I'll be glad when they're settled!! Don't people know how to take care of themselves??
